Although her latest Swizz Beatz-produced track 'Tambourine' seemed to shake up the hip-hop radio scene this past summer, it failed to ignite enough spark to justify a full album release for Eve.
The hip-hop diva's long awaited fourth album, titled 'Here I Am,' which was originally due in August and then bumped to October 16, has now been moved to an unspecified release date for next year.
That;'s so not a good look for the former Ruff Ryders rapstress who was able to transcend the parameters of hip-hop to become a sensation in Hollywood and in the fashion arena.
A spokesperson had no comment on the reason for the delay.
Though Eve (legally known as Eve Jihan Jeffers) has had a string of chart-topping collaborations with the likes of Mary J. Blige, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys and Kelly Rowland, Here I Am marks her very first album since 2002's Eve-olution.

Just because she doesn't deliver music regularly doesn't mean she has left hip hop, hip hop is a way of life and a state of being not just music idiots

You Reap What You Sow
A Novel
Jada Lindsay is a single woman living and working as an ER nurse in her hometown of Philadelphia when she meets who she thinks is her Prince Charming one hot summer day. She quickly realizes that fairy tales are for kids. The story begins with Jada’s tumultuous relationship with Aidan Peacock, the son of a preacher. She tells her story of sex, lies and love in her own gripping words which are often flip and straight from the hip. Jada speaks of the love for her grandmother to the contempt that she harbors for her mother. When her relationship with Aidan is ended in front of the entire congregation of Shiloh Christian Church at a New Year’s Eve service, Jada vows to never see him again. But the heart goes where it wants to, and she finds out the hard way…

I love Eve she is a beautiful, talented, positive black woman. The only female MC that could touch her is MC Lyte. It seems these white corporations dont want to support a female MC who have respect for their self. I guess since she's not half naked in her video and is not having sex with alot of different rappers, thats not good promotion. I hope Eve stay true to her self and we all support her whenever her cd drops. Plus that song with her and Queen Latifah is hot.

Glad to hear its been pushed back. Hopefully she'll come back with better raps then that tired Eve-Polution she put out last time around. This give the real female EMCEES in the game a chance to put out their albums and push her ish back to oblivion. I mean really are we missing something without another Eve album? No, Not really.
