Diddy and Russell Simmons better make room for Irv Gotti – the latest hip-hop mogul to make a splash into the reality TV realm.
As previously reported in Everybody Hates Marcus, the Murda Inc. honcho is the subject of his own reality show. And it's a family affair.
Titled 'Gotti's Way,' the half hour series will premiere Oct. 15 at 10:30 p.m. on VH1.
According to a rep for the network, the show follows Irv Gotti's efforts to resurrect his record label after being acquitted of money laundering charges in Dec. 2005.
While trying to breathe new life into the newly named enterprise, The Inc., Gotti (legally known as Irving Domingo Lorenzo, Jr.) is also juggling his responsibilities as a husband and father of three.
The series promises to provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the company (that made platinum-plated stars out of Ja Rule and Ashanti) and the music machine that he is.
The former Def Jam Records executive is currently working with artists such as Vanessa Carlton, Lloyd, and Ja Rule, among others. Ashanti, who he recently revealed he had a sexual relationship with, is not under his auspices anymore but does plan to release her fourth opus, 'The Declaration' via Gotti's Universal Motown deal.
The show will also focus on the raw emotions between Irv and estranged wife, Debbie, by exposing their struggle to mend a severed relationship and make it functional for the sake of their family.

Why do you rationalize that a 'style' of music that is done by Snoop, Pharell, LL Cool J, Diddy, even Biz Markie, is Ja Rule's Style to 'STEAL'.
50 is all about making money and he is doing a damn good job of that. Ja Rule was shut down by 50 long before the Gotti trial. I guess you never saw the apologetic bitch ass documentary Jah did. Asking where it all went wrong. Appealing to the public about how he was just the black kid in a mostly white suburban school who ws expected to act tough by default. If you think about it maybe Jah wanted to be like someone he never was...a thug. That Tupac/50 cent wannabe Jah Rule never will be a 'Thug For Life'. Jah Rule is just amped by his new video, appearances in Run's House and Gotti's new show. Apparently his friends in the industry are HELPING him with his comeback. Shortman is real funny for that. What ever happened to keeping your own career afloat. 50 had everyone laughing at Jah.
