Ne-Yo has been informed that his services are no longer rendered for R. Kelly's 'Double Up' Tour, which kicked off Nov. 14 in Columbus, Georgia.According to a statement issued by the Def Jam Records crooner, he was informed on Nov. 19 that he is being permanently removed from his supporting slot – despite overwhelming positive reviews received from "entertainment reporters,
music critics, bloggers, fans, and concert goers."
A spokesperson for the tour told Billboard that the reasoning behind Ne-Yo's abrupt exit is due to a "contractual dispute."
Ne-Yo's camp seems to think otherwise.
"The fans were really feeling his performances," his business partner and manager Tango said. "He's good; maybe he's too good - that's the problem."
Ouch."I don't understand their actions because I was rehearsing, doing media, promoting the tour, and performing," Ne-Yo added. "In my opinion, I was doing everything possible to make the tour a success. I love being on stage in front of fans because of the immediate feedback you get. You know right away if they are feeling you; and they were really feeling our show."
Kelly, who has a trial date pending for 14 counts of child pornography next spring, has gone through a state of influx in his own camp lately. His longtime publicist Regina Daniels issued a statement last week saying that she no longer reps the 'I Believe I Can Fly' singer after he crossed the line "personally" and "professionally."Her husband, influential Chicago-area black music mogul George Daniels -- who managed Kelly -- has also disassociated himself..
And let's not forget the last time he attempted a tour with another popular Def Jam artist; 2002's joint jaunt with hip-hop mogul Jay-Z turned into a full scale media spectacle that even ended in a physical altercation -- and litigation.
Meanwhile, Ne-Yo – who performed with label-mate Rihanna on the 2007 American Music Awards – used his free time wisely.
Yesterday, the 'Because of You' singer joined 'Heroes' star Hayden Panettiere at the Ronald McDonald House of New York City to celebrate World Children's Day, honoring five everyday heroes from around the world.
In addition to working with Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson on her forthcoming debut music project, Ne-Yo's collaboration with Celine Dion appears on her new opus 'Taking Chances.'
"The Double Up Tour," also featuring Keyshia Cole and J. Holiday, is due to play The Big Apple area this weekend.
UPDATE: Concert promoter Leonard Rowe, issued a statement on Nov. 21 mandating that "contrary to previously published reports, R. Kelly exerted no influence upon Leonard Rowe's decision."
"From a business perspective, it would have been extremely difficult for me to continue under this cloud of uncertainty," he said. "Unfortunately it was decided that in the best interest of all involved, since I was unable to receive the fully-executed contract, I had no other alternative but to release Ne-Yo from the tour."
"We are currently surveying the availability of other artists in order to fill this void."

I think that Ne-Yo being so called kicked off the tour is BOGUS! Ne-Yo is the new age R-Kelly ad that is just that. Ne-Yo is so fresh right now and to have him opening up for Kelly was just silly on Kelly's part. Kels knows that boy is hot and may have to open up for him one day!!!!!! HMMM!!!!

R.KELLY AND NEYO THEIR IS NO COMPARISION . R.KELLY IS MULTITALENTED AND THE MAJOR MONEY DRAW IN THE INDUSTRY . I FEEL NEYO WAS PRIVILEDGE TO BE SHARING THE STAGE WITH A SUPERSTAR LIKE R.KELLY. I AM A TREMENDOUS R.KELLY FAN AND I GET UPSET WHEN I FIND OUT HE IS TOURING WITH OTHERS BECAUSE I DONOT LIKE PAYING MONEY TO SEE ARTISTS LIKE NEYO, KEYSHIA COLE WHO I DONOT LIKE WHEN I WANT TO SEE THE KING OF R-B I WANT HIM BY HISSELF. I HAVE ALWAYS APPLAUED R.KELLY FOR GIVING NEWER ARTIST A CHANCE TO TOUR WITH HIM UGMO JAYZ OR MICHAEL JACKSON ARE NOT THAT SECURE WITH THEIR TALENT TO DO THIS.NEYO SHOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER BUSSINESS MAN. WHEN HE HAS BEEN AT THE TOP OF HIS GAME FOR 14 YEARS MAYBE HELL GET STAR TREATMENT LIKE R.KELLY. THE THING I LOVE ABOUT R.KELLY IS NO MATTER HOW MUCH NEGATIVE YOU GUYS THROW AT HIM HE IS STILL SUCESSFUL. GOD BLESS R.KELLLY.

The R in R&B or Kels whatever the hell he is calling himself these days should know when to quit. Neyo is the new kid on the block. You see R Kelly, I grew up during Motown and your so called R&B is too NASTY it is more like Porn on Wax. Besides aren't you suppose to teach Neyo and Keyshia instead of Neyo teachin YOU. So sad!!!!

Ne-yo is my favorite singer and he is the best singer out. there was no reason for R.Kelly's crew to kick Ne-yo off the tour. I think that R.Kelly is intimidated by Ne-yo's talent. Now lets get to Keyshia Cole. She cannot sing at all ansd Ne-yo is way above as far as being a singer. This is BOGUS!!! They need to put Ne-yo back on the tour.

Ne-Yo needs to headline his own tour. R.Kelly and Keyshia deserve each other, and you're too good for them anyway.

Ne-yo,
Don't even sweat being thrown off the tour. What the hell were you doing with R Kelly anyway? With all the allegations he has out on him, I'm not too sure any artist with values should be joing up with him.

R Kelly is such a drama QUEEN. He's been fizzling for years. Every song he makes either sounds like Happy People or he's writing a darned novel. And as far as that comment that Kelly Roberts made, Jay Z was too good to be touring with Kels anyway and R knew that. That's why he acted like a dope and Jay went on with the show and rocked the Garden WITHOUT him. R Kelly is a child molester who needs to get counseling rather than going on tour.

So R. Kelly is RESPONSIBLE for this??? If you didn't know, Rowe Entertainment submitted a bid to promote the tour. R. Kelly doesn't write the contracts not can he kick anyone out. If anyone on here went to any one of the stops (I went to the one in Atlanta on Nov. 15th) knows that Kells had nothing to worry about. Neyo had a good show for 40 minutes but Kells held it down for 2 1/2 hours. Neyo could've called him and asked what was going on. Blame the PROMOTER not R. Kelly.
