Move over Beyonce! Halle Berry, look out.
Juanita Bynum is the latest black celebrity gracing the cover of Essence magazine – and she has major plans to evolve beyond the scope of being regarded as just a Pentecostal Prophetess.
That's no offense to the holy rollers!!!
For the January 08' edition of the best selling black women's magazine, the popular televangelist opens up to lead Essence features writer Denene Milner in part two of her explosive interview about life after her alleged abuse – at the hands of her estranged husband Bishop Thomas Weeks, III last summer.
"The drive has become making Juanita whole and taking it one day at a time," the 48-year-old Chicago native stated said.
"It's still very early in my situation, and as you know, it's not over," she declared. "When I'm asked questions about my husband's case, it really becomes almost difficult for me to focus on that direction. The focus is so on repositioning my life."Repositioning her life is not only the $200,000 she's raising to build a threshing floor (to talk to God on contributor's behalf – see video), but to also go full throttle in territory that the aforementioned Destiny's Child frontwoman and Academy Award winning beauty have already conquered with their respective talents.
In addition to publishing her next book, tentatively titled 'Accessing the Power Within,' Essence reports that the gold-selling gospel recording artist is returning to the studio, this time as a producer.
Bynum also recently signed a deal to distribute her own line of candles and cosmetics.
And she just wrapped up her feature film debut with a role in the upcoming film adaptation of Vy Higginson's legendary musical 'Mama, I Want to Sing!,' which stars Ciara, Patti LaBelle, Lynn Whitfield, Hill Harper and Kim Porter.
Bynum is also in the midst of planning a reunion conference in Atlanta tied to her now-famous "No More Sheets" sermon.
Her bouncing back and doing so much is proof positive that what some of her detractors are putting out in the universe about her hasn't become an deterrent.
"If you go look on YouTube, you would think my ministry is in absolute ruin[s], but it hasn't affected me," she said, adding that "people hating on me now are always going to hate. Half the people saying this stuff, if I walked up to them in a beauty shop or in a store, would never say these things to my face. When I reflect on what God is still doing [in my life], I don't have time to focus on people who don't like me."

To all the haters, I would like to know what have you done to promote the Kingdom of God and who have you brought to the Lord for salvation. Just what I thought. Nothing and nobody. Judge not and you will not be judged. Keep the Spiritual leader in Prayer

Sometimes i just try to figure out, why we as Minister of the Gospel don't see the big Pictutre. It is not about us , but the people. We must say close to Lord in order to set the example and live the life God has commandent us to live. We have been call to a higher standard according to Word of God. It takes power of the Holyspirit working to us to do this. No wonder the Body of Christ is confuse and World see's no need for God in their life, because of what we do as Minister and leaders in theBody of Christ. No we are not to judge, but the Word of The Lord is our Judge. That is what Governs our Life As Christian. The Question has to be ask ,are we truly helping our people or just using them to self exalt ourselves. The Lord is no respector of person, the things teach our people from the puplit, God exspect us to live by it also. Enough said.

It saddens me to hear people keep quoting touch not my annoited but are these people annoited. These people are human and read the word to look for the definition of an annoited pastor. Hmmm! I guess you will find many the world calls annoited God does not. So lets end this touch not my annoited. I don't judge her but we all need to be accountable for ourselves and talk to Jesus ourselves. Stop depending on someone else to pray for you and pray for yourself. Develop your own personal relationship with God. If Juanita is or is not annoited she will stand before God and give account for her life.

Let me say this, and be perfectly clear about it. God is the one who calls us to whatever ministry he has ordained for us. Juanita Bynum is called of God to do a great work for Gods glory, praise and honor. As a matter of fact the Lord has used her in a mighty way to stir the churches everywhere to get back to prayer. Prayer is so needed in this world as evidenced by some of the negative comments about sister Bynum. None of us is perfect, we have all failed God in some form or another, and if it was not for the love of God, we would be in hell right now. Being used of God is no guarantee that the devil will not try us or cause us to disobey God, or get out of his will. Even if we displease God, he still loves us and will deal with us accordingly, and we still have the responsibility of his call on our lives. Carnal man will throw us out and say there is no hope for him/her in God. BUT GOD, who love us, BUT GOD, who is rich in mercy, BUT GOD who knows us, BUT GOD who is the loving Father, will never leave us nor forsake us. I thank God for who he called and who he uses for his glory. We don't pick our tests. but we have to pass them. People of God go through things in life so they can reach many souls in life. As far as the money, can you tell me how can you buy a church, a house, a car, food, etc...without money. Lets get real, you work on a job, I work on mine, and we are paid money for what we do. Why not give to the Pastors, Evangelists, Prophets, Apostles, and Teachers who lay before God and receive a message from him for you. The Bible says, "THE LABOURER IS WORTHY OF HIS HIRE. When anyone is faithful to God in their ministry, God will use other people to be a great blessing to them because of their faithfulness to him. I believe and I know, it's not as easy as men want you to believe to see souls saved, it takes a dedicated life. A life that is prayerful, and obedient to God. Some of you have said in your comments "read your Bible" and I agree, people should read their Bibles, and not only read their Bibles, but be a living example of Christ in all things. However, remember this, God has called the PROPHET, the PASTORS, the APOSTLES, the EVANGELISTS, and the TEACHERS after his own heart, for the edification of his called out ones, the CHURCH, the BODY OF CHRIST. It is good that the Lord gave this young lady, this Prophetess, to pray and call us to pray. We should all thank God for whatever HE DOES, and whoever HE USES. The Bible says, "Try the SPIRITS to see if they are of God". When you are walking in the Spirit of God, you will know for yourself, when someone is real with God, and when someone is not. Saints of God..please pray for Juanita that God will use her and keep using her, so many more souls can be saved. At the Threshing Floor Revival in Atlanta, Georgia we saw God move and shift us to another dimension in him. We also experienced beautiful anointed singing, shouting, and preaching for the glory of God. We observed the symbolic ARK OF THE COVENANT reminding us of the presence of God. Sisters and Brothers, don't question the material possessions of your sister or brother because we all know that stuff is just temporary. Instead, think about the eternal place, not made with hands, where every child of God will have a place and a reward for their labour. You see, its not about here, its about there, where Jesus is. We are just passing through this place doing Gods will as we go, on our way home. So let us watch we say, and be very careful about putting our mouth on Gods people. Remember it is God who does the calling and it is him who will do the judging. His judgment is fair and just. Remember we all have a work to do in Gods Kingdom from the Bible we read. The Bible says, not Juanita Bynum, "IF MY PEOPLE WHICH ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, WOULD HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY,SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN,AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SINS AND HEAL THEIR LAND." GOD says this to you and to me, we don't have time to waste tearing down our sisters and brothers, its time to pray like never before.
Prophetess Juanita we love you, God loves you, We are praying for you, so that God will use you like never before and give you everything that you ask him for. We know its not about money, its about the souls. The test is hard, but the reward is worth it all. Paul told Timothy "Endure hardness as a good soldier of JESUS CHRIST." We were also raised in the Church where they said make-up was wrong and pants were too, but we found our freedom laying before God, and studying his Word. Christ Jesus has set us free from the bondage of sin. PRAISE THE LORD! Prophetess Juanita, you look like a child of God to us.
Your Sister & Brother In Christ

Bynum is just another "bring me the money" preacher taking advantage of the vulnerable. People send these "people of God" their last dollars so that these "preachers" can live like rock stars. They are not saving souls, they are just taking your money under false pretenses. I mean the whole lot of them, Black and White but particularly Bynum, Dollar(notice his last name), Meyer; all of them. They have no closer relationship with God than does your puppy and another person cannot take you to God but they can and do take your money. They are not doing anything that you can't do yourself; you can read the Bible for free. If you have problems you need to see credentialed professionals not these money-grubbing preachers. If you just have to talk to religious person, at least pick one that you can speak to face-to-face so that you guage their competence and sincerity.
Stop giving these people your money and your soul. All Bynum can teach you is how to choose the wrong man and get your butt beat but you can do that on your own.
