If you're a bit frazzled with all of the hustle and bustle of the Yuletide season, new DVD packages from the brilliant mind also known as Tyler Perry may be the perfect stocking stuffers. The gift of family, laughter and love can be found on the recently released box set 'Tyler Perry: The Plays,' which features seven of his wildly popular Chit'lin Circuit stage plays.
If you didn't know that the original source material for his box-office shattering films 'Madea's Family Reunion,' 'Why Did I Get Married?' and 'Diary of a Mad Black Woman,' were plays of the same names, then go in for a history lesson with the uproarious endeavors, which reportedly netted more than $150 million since 1998.
In addition to the mainstream-appealing plots of the aforementioned shows, others include 'Madea's Class Reunion,' 'Madea Goes to Jail,' I' Can Do Bad All By Myself' and 'Meet the Browns.'
These plays represent Perry at his rawest – way before Oprah Winfrey and Lionsgate films crossed him over in pop culture. And the DVDs are in one collectable package that is a must-have for all Tyler Perry fans.
And if that's not enough Tyler Perry for you, the first season of his hit sitcom, 'House of Payne,' is also available on DVD. The series, which focuses on a working class family forced to coexist under one roof, officially premiered on TBS last summer and became the highest-rated ad-supported cable sitcom telecast of all time. The DVD package includes 20 episodes of "the little series that could" as well as the bonus featurette 'The House That Tyler Perry Built.'

I saw "why did i get married" yesterday and it is the BEST MOVIE EVER !! I also saw Tyler Perry other three films and enjoyed them all very much. He was said to have a personal account on a black&white love community http://www.blackwhitekiss.com with his hot pictures and blogs there.

I been waiting to say this that show house of pain is a pain to watch. Why do us blacks have to be portraied as dumb stupid phony people. Lets see so sophisticated funny shows that bring out the realness of our people let them act and look like they are proud to be black and smart. I want to see some us wearing traditional and elaborate clothes sometimes.Bring on more African guest and others like Jamican, give us some culture and history to be proud of. I am tired of these Martin acting shows ok

WOW Theresa! Why would you waste your time watching the show if its such a pain? Not sure what your race is, but African's don't care for BLACK PEOPLE PERIOD, and what in the hell does the Jamaican have to do with what is going on in Tyler Perry's movies? Your entire comment lost me. I guess if his cast was majority white, then you would have a problem with that as well? Get over yourself and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
