She is beautiful, but she is a little big to be so young- I would like her to trim down a little- not be shinny, just smaller. She has plenty of time to be over weight- be young, healthy and in shape- be your best. Too many people just work.Especially my people- more blacks need to be active, workout at least three times a week or more. You will feel better and look better. 1
Bottom line is this, no matter what race her parents are she still has to contend with the world SHE lives in. Her father is just being a father, a little over protective, but a father nonetheless. However, I do feel it is important for young Ms. Sparks to be able to at least be a young adult, too often we see the fall out behind what fame has to offer young pepple with out ant real direction. It is my hope that her father's prctection is from the man/woman-eating record industry and not from growing up. Just look at what happened to Brittany Spears funky azz, and she didn't even go on "Idol."

When will you guys realize that "race" is a SOCIAL CONSTRUCT. There is no such thing as a different race. We just have different skin colors because of the environment. My great-grandfather was from Scotland, I have native American and African ancestry. Black people, stop buying into this nonsense about white women and black women. We are just humans. I often wonder why we continue to do so for a country and people who spit in our faces when we come back. There has to be a special place in HELL for people who are prejudiced. Most afro americans can trace their lineage to Europe or native americans -- so what's the fuss? Jordin is a beautiful girl and she looks mixed like so many of us do because we can't help what gifts or talents God has blessed us with. And she is blessed to have 2 loving parents who also love her regardless of their skin color!

Who cares if her mother is White? Why can't we ever have a discussion without commenting on someone's race or turning it into a racial discussion about history. It's nice to see a FATHER be protective of his daughter and attempt to instill some values in her instead of selling her out to the highest bidder. Black men DO care about their children, but society would hve you believe the opposite. It's also refereshing to see a young LADY who carries herself with respect instead of shaking her behind on camera.
