Some of the comments here are nasty and racist. We are all different colors and shades and that is the way God created us, but we are also very similar. Many white and black fathers feel the same way about their daughters regardless of mixed heritage. Jordin is a beautiful girl, not because she is mixed, but because she is obviously a product of love and her father is a handsome man and I'm guessing her mother is pretty too. Some of you don't seem to care that Jordin may decide to read some of these nasty comments about her family because they are public. I hope she has been prepared for the nastiness of this world. Let's just learn to love one another and stop the negativity, because we all have to co-exist in this space together.
I was behind Jordin from the start. I hope she goes far in life. Her dad is doing the right thing and I believe Jordin respects that. I wish ALL dad's would be more protective of their daughters. We would have a whole different society if they would LOVE, protect, and guide them. The relationship a girl has with her father will affect her throughout her life. Dads: Don't let anyone or anything stand in the way of protecting your daughters (and your sons).
It kind of like my 21 year old daughter said when she was 16. Daddy I think God made a mistake. Boys should have to wear their penises on their foreheads until their about 30 becasue that's all they seem to think about. No she is a 1st year med student with a very nice boyfiend and a second degree black belt. The only thing she hated about High School is being voted first on the list of people you would want on your team in rumble
John Rich, Biff and all you other ignorant and jealous, rascists ppl...GO TO ****!!! She's Black, a woman, beautiful...and it goes without saying...multi-talented. What is it that your little rugrats do well? DUH!!!
I think Iberia wrote what needed to be said....one can tell Jordin has had a great homelife to bring he to this point and people need to stop playing race cards. I am sure we can all find people of any race that do not do what they should for their families and society. Mr. Sparks has to be commended for fulfilling his role as father with giving Jordin high standards. Those of you who are writing like this should read Bill Cosby's new book and wake up! Many of you want to blame everybody else for everything....maybe it is you who is not fulfilling your obligations.Jordin keep up the GREAT work, you parents have given you a start.
I have read the comments and feel that her father is doing the right thing; however, he sounds a bit jealous. The world represents a variety of cultures and beliefs, but the choices a person makes will only influence him/her. Some of the greatest people in history achieved success by going against the grain of popular opinion as trend setters and rule breakers. An example is the Civil Rights Movement or Jackie Robinson, President Hoover, Kennedy, or Clinton. In summary, regardless of who the girl dates, the color of her mother or father; there is a family structure in place that is providing guidance and leadership for their child. Look around at children of single parent homes without guidance and then you can appreciate a family that has 2 supportive parents.
