I'm not sure of the purpose of the remark. Is it to let people know there are "negro" servants? I think we knew that. Is there a special reason she used the term "negro?" I guess I'm just out of the loop on this one.
Debbie was referring to the production soon to hit Broadway of "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof" with an all black cast that she's directing In the original production, the servants were black. (If you're not familiar, check out the movie starring Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman).The servants in this production will also be black as well, keeping it in tune with the era in which the production is set.

Tyger wood's response to the lynching remark is clear proof of his own self hatred and his fear and love of White to the detriment of his own black self, I also shows that he has been pacified by white folks through the money that they give him for playing golf, through endorsements ects...... Believe it or not I used to date Debbie way back in the day. She's always been a hipshooter, yep straight from the hip & I like that she's always reminded me of an aunt of mine, 'Lovie', dear dear sweet 'Lovie' never straight but "forward", hell they even favored a lot ( lol ). Now I'm sure everybody out there understood "exactly" what Debbie was sayin, you damn right we still got too many 'negro servants' thaty's one of the worst problems we'll ever have.
