Just as they are dressed in this new publicity shot, Salt-N-Pepa are becoming the 'Laverne & Shirley' of hip-hop.
The Grammy Award winning hip-hop duo have bounced back onto the scene with their VH1 reality series 'The Salt-N-Pepa Show,' which returns on Feb. 11 for a new batch of shows.
According to a network rep, this go round Cheryl James (Salt) taps Sandy Denton (Pepa) to help her 16-year old daughter Corin, plan her first co-ed house party. As Sandy's party plans grow more and more lavish and elaborate, Cheryl starts to wonder if she made the right choice!
This is just the first show.
Upcoming episodes will include...
-- Their former dee-jay Spinderella inviting them to join her at a DJ gig in Atlantic City
-- Salt N' Pepa seeking the help of professional life coach, Iyanla Vanzant with their communication problems
-- Confronting their future as Pepa wants to know, "What's next for us?" and attempts to write a new song as they cope with family interruptions, writers' block, and each other.
Sounds like fun.

Dear: Salt&Peppa glad to see ya back,and looking so good and positive,I am real happy to see you ladies representing us black folks in a positive manner for all of america to watch. I also feel very happy that Cheryl a.k.a.(Salt)has found and has put god in her life, I feel happy that Peppa is open minded & supportive of your new life, I hope that you can rub off on pepp, and give her the glory,that you have found in excepting christ in your life as your lord and savoir. I also want to thank VH1 for keeping you ladies on the air, by continuing the show,that I dont have to ask my kids to exit the room when your show comes on. Unlike the I love new york show, that I dont feel good about my kids being in the room when it airs, because I never know what is going to take place next on every episode! (no diss intended)I realize that it is just entertainment not designed for kids. although I feel that is a ghetto Image of black people that our black youth and teens do not need to be exsposed to, this only Co-sign's this type of stereotypical behavoir for our inner city youth, and all youth in general. Dear VH1 this type of programming underminds all parents who are trying to teach their kids the proper moral & social skills to help them grow and excell into well manered, articulate,(a.k.a)well spoken adults, ready to enter into adult society. NOTE: As parents it is not VH1s job to make sure that our kids & teens do not watch this show,it is our job as parents to make sure that we are aware of what type of TV shows and content that our kid's are viewing and taking in, form the internet down to reading material and video games ETC. Dear VH1 please put warnings up that some of the material may not be suitable for kids under 18 at the begining of these shows in txt and with a audio announcement for parents who are unaware that their youth are not just watching your average comedy show, and that these shows contain very adult content! I am speaking of visual images of MS. NEW YORK'S SCANTILY CLAD BODY AND OVER EXSPOSURE OF HER BREAST JOB!
AND mild sex acts and verbal references to beavers a.k.a (vaginas) & visual images of mens tight clothing exsposing the (penis) imprint, by scantily clad men. PS I know that the Ja rule and Irv Gotti record venture and the single, (your BODY) did not do well, but I still enjoyed watching him & Ja Rule try to comeback along with Vanessa Carlton. I as A viewer still have a great curiosity to what Irv Gotti will do next to get his acts back on top. Irv is still a great producer and still has good talent to produce, and I think that we still want to see how his business & his personal life will play out! Please bring back Irv gotti so we can see if he can mend his family life and keep IT IN HIS PANTS, and once again have all of america dancing in their pants, like he has before the indictement& the 50 cent onslaught. he is still very capable of creating hit records, tell him to squash the madness with ashanti and get her back on the label no matter what it takes, because without her on the show, it felt like something was missing,and without him she has had no records emerge from any where, never mind hits! if he brings other big name stars a.k.a rappers,celebrities as guest on the show that he knows personally along with his beautiful family, I think that there is no end to what ratings that the VH1s Irv Gotti show can generate! PS Irv you better hold on to your wife deb, because she love's you and is in your corner and still wants your cheating ass, after all that she has endured being with you, Thats real love! Plus she is fine! and no she does not have to have a dude that can give her the life that you have provided for her and the kids, because when she divorce's your ass she's gonna still have all that, and maybe more! so get it together Irv, so you dont hurt sonny and your othr son who's name escapes me at this time. much love 2 ya Irv and goodluck to all of you who have shows on VH1 & god speed to Salt&peppa we Love you ladies! one more PS. HEY Salt(Cheryl) let your hubbie have some fun & loosen up the short leesh and let him walk around the house sometime, I dont think you have to worry he seem's to love and respect you and his family and the lifstyle that he has with you.

And to Peppa Keep the show interesting you go with ya" bad self! and KEEP the beautiful spindarella loved and on the show, let her know that we all recognize what she has been and still means as a part of salt& peppa and to hip hop history, she is the finest female DJ to ever touch the turntables! HEY SPINDARELLA I always thought you were the finest one in the group, and years later you are still the one, SO ROCK THAT SH.. you are a hip hop PIONEER & LEGEND AND A MUSICAL ICON!

I love the snp show! It's about time we have black women on tv that are not trying take it all off for a man (I love NY)and shake their tails in a video. I like their relationship and I like the fact that they are not trying to be young girls. They are grown women doing their thing the right way.
