Looks like Sonja Norwood is getting the last laugh.
Kim Kardashian may have won the battle – but she will not win the war – if the tough-as-nails former music industry diva has anything to do with it.
Norwood, the "momager" of Brandy and Kardashian's ex-lover Ray-J, is suing her and her siblings for racking up over $120,000 in alleged illegal charges to her credit card.
According to The New York Post, court documents obtained claims that the alleged Hollywood socialite, who was Brandy's stylist in 2004, "was authorized to make one (and only one) purchase on behalf of [Sonja]," using her American Express card.
Norwood, a former finance industry exec, has gained a reputation as a shrewd business mind in Black Hollywood circles. (Her children have been working in the business since they were knee-high to a grasshopper.)
So ducats is something she does NOT play with.
The legal documents goes on to allege that the bootylicious sexpot shared Norwood's credit card number with siblings Khloe, Kourtney, and Robert Jr., leading to Kardashian shopping sprees at the Norwood's expense.Oh no ... White Collar Crime???
While the media may have not been kind to The Norwoods over the last few years, the law sure has.
Just as 2008 came into bloom, Brandy was "exonerated" from vehicular manslaughter charges and got off free and clear after a year of legal uncertainty.
Once considered the relatively unknown gal pal of Paris Hilton, Kardashian gained new-found fame with a starring role in a no-holds-barred sex video, starring and directed by Ray-J.
Since the release -- and the subsequent halting of retail sales – of the best-selling romp, the Armenian former divorcee has become mainstream tabloid fodder, the subject of a highly rated reality series, and a Playboy cover girl.
The daughter of late O.J. Simpson attorney Robert Kardashian, she was also reportedly rumored to be paid millions for the DVD, which was titled 'Kim Kardashian Superstar.'The allegedly unauthorized Norwood credit card charges included $62,793.83 in 2006, and $57,841.82 2007, for a total of $120,635.82 dollars. The suit claims that thousands were even spent at the Kardashian's own stores, Dash and Smooch.
A spokesperson for Kardashian, who is romantically linked to NFL star Reggie Bush, could not be reached at press time.
MORE TO IT:
Norwood released a statement to media outlets Feb. 5 explaining that her lawsuit against Kardashian was a last resort that was filed against the wishes of her two kids and after exhausting all other options.
"I did not want to commence litigation against the Kardashian family without conducting an exhaustive investigation into the charges and discussing all options, including criminal prosecution, with my family," the former H&R Block executive said.
"After Ray J and Brandy urged me not to file criminal charges because of their prior friendship, I decided to afford the Kardashians an opportunity to resolve this matter without a lawsuit," she explained. "When the fraudulent charges were brought to their attention, they apologized profusely, and advised us, through their attorneys, that they would pay the debt in full. However, they have since reneged on that promise."
Norwood, who once managed former music acts such as BeBe Winans, Silk, and 702, also said in her statement that her "investigation has revealed that the Kardashians used their two stores and other stores that I have never visited to take advantage of me. I very much look forward to having the Kardashians account for their misconduct in a court of law."
The lawsuit seeks repayment of the charges plus 10 percent interest.

She probably had verbal permission back then to buy stuff as Brandy's stylist but now that there is conflict between them all, this woman is getting even by charging her with fraud. Why not wait til the Kardashians comment on what happened.

They were friends. She hired Kim in a professional position as stylist. Sometimes, you do give a credit card used for that purpose to the client, others bill per item with a mark up for the clothes. That means Kim would have fronted the money to be reimbursed for the expense. Perhaps she didn't have the money. Smooch and Dash could have simply also fronted the clothes for Brandy to pay for directly.
But it appears that Kim didn't use the card properly and solely for the purposes intended - providing Brandy's look for whatever occasion.
Frankly, Kim is so attention starved, she would prefer to be sued than to just pay the money for the situation to right itself.
It's not frivolous at all. Why should Brandy, a woman of significant wealth, just write it off as a loss? Why should Kim, NOW a woman of significant wealth, not be held accountable if she's guilty?

For all of you people who think this is just a matter of "giving your credit card" to your wife, children or whomever else, you don't understand how it works. Often when working for people of wealth, others are given access to monies or credit lines. That's where the turst factor coms in, kiddies.
But don't think anyone is naive. Kim said it her show that she isn't comfortable being naked, yet she stars in a deliberate porn movie and strips for Playboy while her step-father visits the shoot. That's weird. Then, she sues to halt distribution after she's gotten the gains from the porn video.
