It seems as though bringing her television empire to the Big Apple may have turned out to be more than what Tyra Banks bargained for.
According to published reports, the 'America's Next Top Model' diva and daily talk show host is reportedly living in fear of a hulking stalker who's been terrorizing her for months and was set free by a judge last week.
A 37-year-old stalker named Brady Green has been nipping at Banks' heels for the past few months and was arrested last week for doing so.
Cops and prosecutors said that the Dublin, Georgia native has hounded Banks with multiple letters and phone calls since early January. He even started sending her flowers and showing up to the set of her Los Angeles studio.
On March 18, Green showed up at the New York City studio where the former Victoria's Secrets spokesmodel films her daily talk show. Carrying a large duffel bag stuffed with magazine write-ups about Banks and notes to himself about his various attempts to reach her, the tall, dark and husky man asked to speak to her but was immediately cleared from the premises after cops were called.
The New York Post reports that a source spotted Green, just a few hours later, sitting across the street in a window seat at a McDonald's, drinking coffee and flipping through one of his magazines.
Green told police he was homeless, although he appeared clean and dressed in neat, casual clothing, they said. Cops arrested him in the restaurant and charged him with stalking, harassment and criminal trespass.
Adding to Banks' anxiety, Judge Anthony Ferrara released him on his own recognizance -- but issued an order of protection for Banks.

The biggest problem in this Great country is we have too too many lawyers!!! They make the laws that benefit lawyers. Take the death penalty in Calif. Although a serial killer can be proven without any doubt, that they murdered many people, the law has been setup to give them AUTOMATIC ( AT OUR EXPENSE) MANDATORY appeals for 16-17 years or more. Who do you think benefits from this? The lawyers. They get to rack up hours at hundreds of dollars per hour for 17 years. Defending people that destroyed dozens of families and lives. Heck, the serial killer William Bonin "the freeway killer", after killing almost 2 dozen boys and tossing their bodies around So Calif freeways, was sentenced to death in the early to mid 1980's. And not only did he get the use of the best lawyers at our expense, it was found that for most of the years he was in prizon awaiting his "execution", was recieving Social Security Disability for a mental condition. Are you F-ing kidding me? I am in a wheelchair due to a hit & run driver yet for the 17 years I've been in this chair I haven't been able to get even 1 lawyer to represent me, so I have never
recieved a dime. The reason they give is that I missed the earnings quota by $4.00. The price of a cheap sandwhich. And the lawyers say I will need an Act of Congress to get Disability....huh!!!!!! These lawyers won't make much if they have to go that route so I had to lose all I had built up to that point. I had a house and a 7 unit apartment building all gone, while a serial killer awaiting execution can collect in prison for years. It's insanity!!!!!

I'm glad Tyra can afford extra security. When I was stalked I was basically told, like I actually asked them so...etc and they said yes, that I would have to be stabbed or something in order to get a restraining order. You would think that Tyra, being a celebrity, would at least be granted this. I wish some major guy would get stalked to the point where they're so terrified they demand new reform. Until then, women die every day because of the lack of protection in the justice system.

New York is the hub of the business world, full of real go-getters, and highly sucessful people are all over the place. The crazy you'll have amongst you all the time: Reagan closed most of the state facilities across the country back in the eighties....so there you have it, ya gotta deal with it! A 50000 volt stun-gun will put ice on most B.S., and that's keeping it real!

Wow. My sister in law is from Brooklyn and she says ppl in NY are crazy everyday. Every time she calls me. She born and raised. But anyhow, I wonder what more can they do to prevent him from stalking her. They can't keep him locked up forever, hell they let ppl who rape kids out of prison eventually. She just needs to watch her back for now, I pray nothing bad happen to her.

This angers me beyond belief. Women DIE every day because MALE judges and MALE cops do not take threats directed against them seriously. Orders of protection are routinely IGNORED, scoffed at, laughed off...and the women who are victimized are ridiculed and called everything from neurotic to lying "female dogs" by the people PAID TO PROTECT THEM...that is until they end up dead. But it's just a tad late then, isn't it. HEAVEN FORBID we step on some CRIMINAL'S civil rights "just" to protect a vulnerable woman. I hope he gets just close enough to her for private security to take the bastard out with EXTREME and long lasting prejudice...and also hope this judge is removed from the bench, disbarred and sent to prison to mingle with the inmates he HAS bothered to put behind bars! May his cell mate carries a very large stick...if you get my meaning... Forgive me if I seem angry, but I've cared for rape victims and am one myself. It's not fun...and male cops have all the sensitivity of pure hydrochloric acid.
