It looks like the wedding nuptials of Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z are official.
Or are they?
According to a source of 'People' magazine, the couple tied the knot on April 4.
"It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family," an unnamed friend reportedly told the mainstream weekly magazine.
Reps for the 10-time Grammy Award winning Destiny's Child diva and the platinum-plated Def Jam rap kingpin have remained mum all week, leading to speculation that the rumors may have stemmed from an April Fool's Day internet hoax.
Their silence just fueled the flames more and by April 3, the media frenzy hit a fevered pitch among mainstream news outlets, with even local news stations reporting of the pending wedding plans.
This comes on the heels of Jay-Z (real name: Shawn Carter) finalizing a whopping $150 million deal with concert promoter LiveNation.
The alleged ceremony was reportedly followed by a lavish soiree at the Jay-Z's Tribeca apartment that drew Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles, her father/manager Mathew Knowles, her sister Solange, her Destiny's Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the couple's friend Gwyneth Paltrow.Hmmmm.
All the people in New York City, and that's the guest list?
No mention of Jay-Z's people.
Okay -- maybe everyone went to the Oprah Winfrey-sponsored Maya Angelou birthday bash in Mar-A-Lago.
DJ Cassidy, reportedly a favorite of Jay-Z, was hired to spin reported 'People.'
Spin is the operative word.
Strange; Jay-Z was born and bred in Brooklyn, New York and has been closely associated with some of the biggest hip-hop deejays of all time, and DJ Cassidy gets the gig?
Interesting.
The power couple, who have a near 15-year age difference between them, have dated since 2002.

"COGRATS" to "BEY" and "J". I guess on April 1, on April Fool's Day was true they both took out a marriage licence. Well, I knew it was coming and I wish them both "Love", "Happiness", and "Success"!!!
It is "BABY SEASON" in HOLLYWOOD, I wouldn't be surprise if "BEY" got pregnant this year? What a beautiful baby they would both have!

If they are married, I thank God. This "POWER COUPLE", is showing our youth, first of all that in order to raise well-adjusted children, you do NOT bring them into the world in single-head of households. Even if you're RICH! For instance, Angelina Jolie's adopted son, Maddox, is said to be questioning she and Brad Pitt, about why they are NOT married. I don't know about Jay-Z, but we all know that Beyonce was brought up in the church. And from what we've heard, the same pastor of that church, may have officiated at the wedding. I pray for their continued happiness, wealth, and well-being. And I cannot wait to see that DRESS!
