Rapper T.I. sure isn't wasting any time fulfilling his recent plea deal (which includes a one year jail sentence and 1,000 hours of community service talking to youth groups) stemming from several federal weapons charges.
The rapper (born Clifford Harris Jr.) decided to begin his community service April 4 talking to students at Atlanta's Stockbridge High School.
And apparently he didn't bite his tongue.
According to the 'Atlanta Journal-Constitution,' Harris told the surprised students, "If any of you know me, you know I'm (gonna) keep it real ... I don't laugh if it ain't funny," he said.
"I don't scratch if I don't itch," the 'American Gangster' star continued. "If helping you guys wasn't something that was a passion of mine and really something on my heart I wouldn't be here."
"... Hopefully the mistakes I've made can come across to you," he added. "And you can see where I went wrong, so you don't have to go down the same road."
That road will lead to T.I. being sentenced in March 2009.
On March 27, he pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of machine guns and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Until then T.I.P. (as he is also known as) is free to "perform, act in movies [and] carry on with his business until the end of the 12-month period," says his attorney Ed Garland.
That Atlantic Records hip-hop superstar's next album, 'Paper Trail,' is due out later this year.

alot of teens gonna look up to t.i. more so now even though he has did something wrong but he is even doing a better thing by talking to teens about weapons and hopefully teens and everyone will pay attention. t.i. i will always support you because you are a good person and you will always be the king of the south and you handling your business and i appreciate that.

#17. Yes people make mistakes but they are not buying illegal machine guns and silencers and getting caught. I can't make a dog fighting mistake because I don't like PIT BULLS. And it's kinda against the law. So freeze that everybody makes a mistake crap. And you know something else, everytime somebody states that they have been married for all those years,my mind goes to how many affairs went on during those years. Was the wife holding on for the kids while you ran wild in the street? Now you think you changed something by calling it a mistake. You inteded for whatever went wrong to have gone wrong. It's only a mistake when you get caught. It's pleasure while the mistake is going on. Buying machine guns and silencers is not a mistake. Dude meant to buy those illegal weapons. You think he said, Let me see, Do I go to McDonalds or do I buy these machine guns and silencers. So buying those guns was not a mistake. Going to McDonalds and getting a BIG MAC with that fake meat now that is a mistake. Do you see the difference NOW. In long marriages someone is taking and someone is giving. Impress me by saying that they were 30-35 years of pure Bliss. No Cheating on your behalf or the wife's behalf. If you can't say that then it was not a mistake. Things happened and mistake ain't nowhere around. You meant for something to happen. If you came home and caught one of your kids having sex in the house, that is not a mistake. The two people intended for that act to happen. They just got caught. That is not a mistake so you can say everybody makes mistakes. And everybody does not make mistakes. There are some good people in this world who do the Right things. It's people like you who do things wrong and stick the word mistake around it. A mistake is when T.I. and his crew are shooting at one Dude and shoot the wrong Dude. They made a mistake. It's not an accident because they intended to shoot somebody. It was just the wrong dude. Mistaken Identity. The word Mistake is funny because people bend and twist the word to their benefit.If you go deep with the word it does not measure up well. There are only a few things that are a mistake. Like giving the wrong baby to the wrong couple, that is a mistake.Buying illegal machine guns and silencers is not a mistake. The kind of money involved in buying those guns is not a mistake either. Buying and selling dogs is no mistake. That is intentional. Killing the dogs and not getting rid of the bodies turns out to be a mistake because the bodies of the dogs were found which solidified the case against Dude. When criminals get caught it is because they made a mistake that got them caught.Like leaving a fingerprint. They made a mistake. So chill with that everbody makes a mistakes crap.

It is very apparent that the majority of the people commenting really don't listen to the lyrics T.I. spits. On every album to date he has professed that the life he has lived is not the ideal life. He lets all who listen know that the "street" life is not what they should be getting into, instead they should be concerned about their education. No body can down him for the life that he has led. We as humans are so overly judgmental that we sometimes forget every soul has/ will fall short of the glory of the Lord. We were ALL born in sin. And, finally, yes he did have a choice has to how he could complete his community service hours. It's called 'community' service, not 'talk to kids a school' service! Who are you people who SEEM to have all the sense when you really don't? Get your facts straight before you just start running off at the mouth!
