R&B diva Toni Braxton has been hospitalized in Las Vegas. Flamingo Hotel-Casino spokeswoman Deanna Pettit told news outlets that the 40-year-old singer has an undisclosed ailment that isn't life-threatening.
The 'Another Sad Love Song' singer was reportedly taken to a hospital last night.
Pettit says she expects Braxton to be released Tuesday afternoon.
Pettit says she doesn't know the nature of Braxton's ailment or where she was when she became ill.
Last summer, the multiple Grammy Award winning chanteuse fired back at tabloid reports that she suffered breast cancer.
"There has been a rumor circulating that I have been diagnosed with breast cancer," she said in a statement.
"After feeling something uncomfortable in my left breast, I went in for a screening. I was very fortunate that they did not find anything and I am in great health. However, I encourage women to take their annual tests and suggested precautions to prevent this disease that continues to affect so many women."
This followed a spat of bad publicity, which included a mud-slinging lawsuit with her former manager Barry Hankerson and a wardrobe designer suing her for insufficient funds.
Throughout it all, the Severn, Maryland native braved it all and her Las Vegas show went on.
Braxton has been a headline performer at the Flamingo hotel for the last year. Tuesday's show was expected to be canceled.

That is really horrible that Toni is in the hospital. I hope that she will get better soon.

Toni Braxton has always been one of my favorite singers of all time.My heart goes out to her and if Im ever in Las Vegas I'll make it a priority to get in touch with her. Keep doin yo thang,I mean you is Toni.
