I am without the shadow of a doubt Badu's #1 fan. She has been a mother to me when my mom abandoned me. I will love her for the rest of my live, where ever I am.
When I heard her make that statement on Oprah, I thought what an ignorant comment, It just shows her true race card, it was rude and I will never watch her again. She also needs to keep that wrap around her head to contain that mess she trys to pass off as hair. I agree 100% with comment 14. Carma happens.
Why is anything just for "White People". That is what's wrong with this country. Why can't it just be about "People". If a white artist said something stereotypical like "that's for black people" it would be all over the news.
How racistist was that comment NICE DOUBLE STANDARD! If thes was a site here on AOL called White Voices it would get shut down if someone said that it was a Black person thing.
The concept of time is far too copious for her scope and range of comprehension. Yet another victim of a public school education. I'm sure she could barely write her name in the ground with a stick. Tragic.
i believe what she meant was she doesn't allow her self to bound by the perception of time...she moves at the pace of her soul not the pace of the world, she does what she wants with the time she has...although, i do believe that transends any gender or race...do what is best for your life with the time you have
Now had a white person had said that, everyone on this post board would be screaming "RACISM", calling Jesse Jackson and setting up a lawsuit. Its really hard to be open minded and try to change the mistakes of history when reverse racism is so accepted. To the point that its almost like I am supposed to apologize for being white..which I will never do...Im just as proud to be white and you should be to be black. God made us all special!!
"Time is for white people?" What the hell is that? Everyone should be a bit responsible, Ms. Badu. Time is important - yes you should live your life to the fullest, but you even have time on that.

I just love Badu and always will. She should never sing "me myself and I."
