The Shrine Auditorium sure was filled with black star power last night!
R&B soul legend, Al Green had everyone in the crowd on their feet two-stepping to his classic hits 'Let's Stay Together' followed by 'Love and Happiness.'

It was good to see the ladies of En Vogue on stage again, and Al Green's performance topped it off!

The show was pretty good... not as good as 2006's show, but it was good. I did get a bad jolt a couple of times when Keyshia Cole's rifts went sour... REAL sour. Seeing SWV, En Vogue and TLC was great... even though Coco seemed to be a little weak in the knees when she was trying to walk down the stairs. Let me stop. Good show, BET. I MAY start watching you again.

BET IS REALLY A STATION THAT EMBRACES IGNORANCE AND FOOLISHNESS. HOW DO CAN YOU SHINE A POSITIVE SPOTLIGHT ON THUGS AND LOW LIFES LIKE THAT IDIOT NAME LIL WAYNE? WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD LET THEIR CHILDREN BE AROUND PEOPLE LIKE THAT? BET NEED TO CLEAN UP THIER ACT AND START SHOWING AND SHINNING THE SPOT LIGHT ON POSITIVE PEOPLE.

Their show was way better than that elementary talent show last year.
I wish Alicia would have brought out Xscape. I wish there had been more singers for Al Green's tribute.
OMG, I had to rewind Chris Brown & Ciara's dancing.
Lil Wayne did good. I'm glad he won something. I think Wayne deserved the best male hip-hop award though.
They need to get rid of the Best Female Hip-Hop award because all the nominees were not relevant in 2007-2008 and/or garbage.
I also have a newfound respect for T-Pain. He did kill it. I really don't care for him, but he is on the grind.
Overall, loved the show.

Once again Al Green proves that old school is not so old. I was so proud of the other artists singing along with Al just like those of us who were there back in the day. The Reverend Al Green ain't no joke. He's still got it. My kids didn't have a choice when they were smaller so they know all of Al's music and when they saw Luda & Diddy singing and dancing it let them know that us older folks might know a little somethin'.

I don't know wat you are talking about, DAC. I thought the show was off the hook and the music was great. Lil' Wayne is a terrific artist and he isn't some convict looking to send subliminal messages to little kids to go sell dope and shoot your "wifeys" up and call them hoes.
I was a little disappointed with Rhianna's performance. Her singing was a little weak and I wish she would have moved around more, but all in all the show was amazing.
I have to admit my favourite part was when Chris Brown got down real low and was talking about, "Take U Down." Lord, I could have jumped off the couch and lapped at the screen, lmfao.
I would also like to say that I loved En Vogue, SWV, and TLC. It was great to see them all again together and singing.
