"I also have people in my family who are losing their homes and having trouble paying for the gas to get to work. So we've got to get the right president. I don't want them calling Sherri one more time asking for money. I am not Sherri Walters."
-- 'The View' co-host Sherri Shepherd commenting about how she will be affected by the presidency. ('The New York Times')

Boy, some of these comments are down right 5th grade mentality. Too many of you, unfortunately side with the "I only know about my world and how things work" Elizabeth. I'm sick of her Obama bashing. Obama got into Havard because of this high grade point average and then became president of his law review. McCain got into the Naval Academy because of daddy, and proved his worth by finishing at the bottom of his class. Businesses always pick the smartest, not the dumbest people to run their companies. But for predisent, Republicans seem to gravitate to the lesser qualified candidate and then try to convince themselves and everybody else that their choice is best. I'll take the smartest apprentice over the the dumbest journeyman anytime.

It is so very sad how as Americans, black, white or otherwise you people act like you are in a third world country. This is an ELECTION PEOPLE, you and your grandchildren's futures will depend on what we do today. instead all you can do is talk about someone being a walking abortion clinic. No wonder "some of you" are running scared now....your stupidity is showing in abundance!

I am sorry but Sherri should not have chosen to tell people about her relatives' financial issues within a public format. As Dr. Phil would ask "What was she thinking?" I am sorry but Sherri is pleasant enough, it merely seems that she is not familiar with the application of discretion as this is not the first time that this "View" co-host has chosen to disclose topics that should have remained strictly confidential.
Just Another Thought,
FC

I Agree with Sherri, everyone houseld or family has the same struggles rather in the spotlight or not. The Bible says: If a man don't work, he don't eat. And that settles's this conversation.

Sherie is a far stretch to be on the View. It was sad to hear her say that the Republican VP served with the PTA and had children which makes it okay for her to run for the VP. How sad. She is influenced by Elizabeth and it shows. She is a comic and that shows. She simply does not have the mental ability as Joy, Whoopie, and Barbara. She does add something to the show---she is a tad ghetto and it is comical
I feel sorry for her when the topics get deep. She just is out of her league and Elizabeth uses that to her advantage. Yet, I like her. Simple, honest, warm-hearted, and comical. Keep her, but let her take some classes in history, economics, government, social studies, and brush up on questioning strategies and communication skills.

I don't care too much for Sherri or the show anymore. Sherri and Whoopi, where pawn to lure audiences (black audiences) back after Rosie’s dumb ass left, and Star and Meredith left. I'm sick of Barbara Walters hoein ass. Now we all know that she's out for herself and she wants to be the star of her show. That's why she fired Star. Truth be told, Star was an intelligent voice on that show, which is now missing intellectual input. Three comedians??? Where's the intellect in that? That was a mastermind of Barbara and ABC execs. They don’t want the world to see intelligent black women; they want you to see buffoons, like Sherri. I like Whoopi, but the original point of the view is gone, it’s time to pull the plug.
