You don't have to wonder where Oprah Winfrey will be tonight.
The talk show maven, who gave her stamp of approval to Barack Obama very early in the campaign race, called in to New York's Power 105.1's Ed Lover Morning Show this morning to fill listeners in on how she is spending tonight. Winfrey says she will be with her best friend Gayle King at the city's historical Grant Park, where it is rumored that the Democratic nominee will address the Chicago crowd said to reach one million people.
"We want to be there the moment when Barack comes out this evening and is the new President of the United States," she said, "This town is vibrating...it's warm, so I say, 'That's a sign.'"
Oprah Hair Transformation
This was Oprah in 1986, the same year 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' entered national syndication. Oprah brought her style of emotional reporting to the main stream wearing a short hair style with feathered bangs. Winfrey's look said "working mother" not "power broker." (Photo: AP)
Perhaps inspired by shocking '80s hair styles, Oprah teased her hair to towering heights in 1987. By this time, her show was the highest rated talk show in television history. (Photo: Getty Images)
Fast forward to 1996: Almost ten years later, Winfrey's look is considerably more stylish. By this time she has established her media dominance, becoming the third woman in entertainment history to found her own production facility, Harpo Studios. (Photo: Chris Kasson, AP)
In the year 2000, Oprah began to take her hair to new lengths, while keeping a demure sensibility. This was also the year she launched O, The Oprah Magazine. (Photo: Kevin Winter, Getty Images)
By 2004, Oprah took her magazine game to the next level with the introduction of O at Home. Her hair was spunkier and younger, with layers that finally gave it a modern silhouette. (Photo: Carlo Allegri, Getty Images)
Oprah also began exploring more feminine hair styles in 2004. She looked almost girlish in chin-length curls as she received the United Nations Association's Global Humanitarian Action Award that year. (Photo: Getty Images)
Winfrey finally began looking more like a woman of power in 2005. She softened a severe bob by bending the ends under slightly for a sophisticated finish. (Photo: Getty Images)
At the 60th annual Tony Awards later in 2006, Oprah seemed to take two steps back with her hair, perhaps looking to keep it simple. Her hair lacked volume and shine, but at least it looked like it was all real! (Photo: Seth Wenig, AP)
In a look almost inspired by Marilyn Monroe, Oprah wore a softer bob in early 2006. (Photo: Paul Hawthorne, Getty Images)
In 2007, Oprah often wore soft curls. While not her first attempt at rocking this hair style, the more recent rendition looked more natural. (Photo: Frazer Harrison, Getty Images)
Since supporting Obama, she decided not to have any other presidential candidates on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show.' She hit the campaign trail with the presidential hopeful a while back and attended the Democratic National Convention to lend her support. Winfrey was faced with a great deal of criticism recently for not having Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin on her show.
"I got some hate calls [that were] 'Go Back to Africa,' 'We Gonna Lynch You' bad. I wasn't snubbin' Sarah Palin, I was just holding true to the policy that I had set for myself [not to invite candidates on the show]," Oprah clarified, "I didn't think it would be fair since everyone knew I was for Barack Obama."
She says she isn't opposed to having Palin on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' in the future, though.
"If she wants to talk to me after tomorrow I will be happy to talk to her."
Winfrey says it's been "hard to keep my mouth shut on the show," where politics is concerned, but adds, "I'm unleashed tomorrow."
For now, Oprah, who voted last week in Chicago, says her eye is on the prize for the Illinois State Senator to take the Presidency and she has a dress ready for his inauguration.
"I have been working out to get in it and last week I told the stylist take it out the closet so I can look at it."

Might as well get this party started. The race was over before it even started. The republicans did not even put up a fight. To them I say:
"Whose your daddy?"
Bty. Is anyone working at AOL BV. I want to place my comments about this historic moment and can't find a place to put it. Are you guys taking Chris Rock seriously, when he said black folks won't work on the day after the elections. We'll make white folks get their own bags (if you happen to be a porter at the airport). He was KIDDING.LOL! Now whip up some blogs and this this celebration on.

Why do the comments about Oprah's support of Obama always imply that it is recent? Obviously they reflect a surface knowledge of Oprah and do not watch her show, i.e., the commenters didn't do their homework. WE ( nationally ) were introduced to the Obamas LONG before he was interested in the presidency
and she ven asked him about any interest he had in running. She was so imoressed with THEM that she SAID, "If you ever decide to run, I'll support you." This was after reminding us that she had never endorsed a candidate before. YEARS later, she kept her word about the endorsement as a citizen with that right and promised that she would not use her SHOW as an endorsement. She kept that promise by not having ANY of the candidates on her SHOW. McCain and Palin , prior to their nominations would never have been on the SHOW and to put them on after their nominations would have been outside of her SHOW's Mission. Their have been NO politics discussed, which is why her SHOW TODAY ( November 5th ) is called her "unleashing."

I am grateful to God for allowing us in the USA, to have a young, educated, father, humble, husband, powerful and successful man like Barack Obama to run our country. May we continue to pray for him and his family. Also our nation through this transition.

If only there was a way to remove the likes of people like NORM and LERO, like we do bad fruit in a bowl. There was no need for your unnecessary comments.
When she puts on her tent and walks to the buffet, she is walking there as a billionare! What do you have aside from ignorance!!! Get lost!
