"That's why half the record, I Am, is about who I am underneath all the makeup, underneath the lights, and underneath all the exciting star drama. And Sasha Fierce is the fun, more sensual, more aggressive, more outspoken side and more glamorous side that comes out when I'm working and when I'm on the stage. The double album allows me to take more risks and really step out of myself, or shall I say, step more into myself, and reveal a side of me that people only know me see." "It put me in a position to where I really started to delve into all of my creative options," he recently told Eur Web. "I really started working on my oil paintings, doing my photography, and my poetry, which brought me to the point of creating 'Exist.' 'Exist' was the result of that and I have a book that parallels with the record that's composed of all of my writings." Tony Rich's 'Exist' is in stores now.
Corell claims Smith went ballistic on him while he was taking photos of attendees at Vegas's annual Men's Apparel and Garment Industry Convention. Allegedly Mos snatched Volker's camera from around his neck before smashing it to the ground and taking off with the busted equipment. And apparently the photographer was left with a cut on his left hand following the incident.
Hopefully it wasn't life threatening.

If this was another one of the 'papp' ghouls who are causing so much havoc he probably deserved what he got. Although I don't condone violence and don't know who Mos Def is, he should get a medal!

What a shame Mos Def ends up on the police blotter. I became a fan after his turn in The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. Here's to hoping it all gets settled very quickly.

yet the las vegas police let others beat, batter and almost kill people with plenty of witnesses, yet never an arrest due to political connections (the mayor's son represents the club). The LVMPD is one of the most crooked law enforcement agencies in the US. I live there, I've dealt with them and I was the victim of a horrible attack in a club with 100 video cameras yet the police and the club deny their existence. There is currently a 10 milion dollar suit pending over the incident. LVMPD likes to arrest celebrities because it gets their names and pictures in teh paper. LVMPD brass would all like to have their own show on the strip.

These celebrities piss me off. They want to be in all of those magazines, they need to be in all of those magazines, and yet they attack the photographers. If he really doesn't want to be photographed he should take a job at a box factory. The photogs would probably take pics for another week or maybe two. The headlines would say, "is he studying for a role?" or "is he insane?" but then after a couple of weeks nobody would ever take his picture again.
