"She took bad information to heart. At one point I was providing her a half a million dollars a year with out any court being involved...I'm really only responsible for him and that is what she found out after I was taken to court. Her friend told her in New York state law you're entitled to 17% but that's up until $80,000...She looked at the Forbes and goes, 'You robbing me.'"

Actually, in Illinois, child support is 20 percent of the non-custodial parents income (for the first child) and 8 percent for any other remaining children. Child support goes for food, clothing, medical copays, housing, school fees/school supplies, utilities, ect. Most Mothers barely receive $500 to $1000 per month which does not go very far in this day and age. I think that the non-custodial parent gets off pretty easy.

Most women are lucky if they get $500 to $1000 a month and this is to cover housing, food, clothing, medical copays, dental copays/fees, school fees/school supplies, utilities - ect. $500 - $1000 doesn't go very far. Non-custodial parents shouldn't complain, they're getting off pretty easy.

He should support his child and if he loves this child he shouldn't let animosity between himself and the mother get in the way of giving his child a good home. Sometimes I think the money should go into a trust and a third party should pay the bills as needed because a lot of fathers let their anger at the mother get in the way of wanting to provide for their child and a lot of mothers spend too much time thinking about how they can "stick" it to the father without considering the well being of the child. If the half million dollar figure is correct, that is enough to raise a child in a perfectly nice neighborhood, good schools, etc.

It's just another case of whitey keeping a brother down. 50 takes care of his chillen so leave the brother alone. I only hope he brings more chillen in to the world.

The basic instinct of any one "normal" parent is to provide for their child. To make sure that their child and or children have what they need to grow up and do well in life. A loving parent has to oversee that their offspring are well prepared for life as an adult, educated, able to tackle what curve balls life throws at them. And these offspring need to earn a good living to do the same as their parents before them. Seems these two are dicking everyone around.
Only concerned with themselves. That's not why you have children.
