William Balfour, the estranged brother-in-law of Oscar Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, was arrested on Monday and expected to be charged in the tragic murders of Hudson's mother, brother, and seven-year-old nephew.Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond stated that Balfour was arrested at Stateville Correctional Center on a murder warrant and released to detectives as he awaited formal charges in the deaths of Hudson's family members.
As previously reported, Balfour was being held at the Stateville Correctional Center since the October 24 slayings on a parole violation and was considered a "person of interest" in the case.
Despite being the only suspect arrested in the investigation thus far, Balfour maintains his innocence, according to his attorney Joshua Kutnick.
"He vehemently denies that he is guilty in this case," Kutnick told reporters outside police headquarters Monday night. "Any evidence pointing to Mr. Balfour is not even thin. It is very, very weak."
So far authorities have found the .45-caliber gun that was used in the killings. The handgun was discovered in a Chicago West Side neighborhood vacant lot on October 29, which was the same location where the body of Hudson's nephew, Julian King was found a few days earlier. Police have declined to reveal any additional evidence that they may have in the investigation.

With very little information being disclosed to the public, Balfour's mother, Michelle Davis-Balfour feels authorities don't have a case against her son.
"If they found gun powder on his hands, you got a case; if they found a gun on him, he had a case; if they found a fingerprint on the truck that he did this, you got a case; but they don't have nothing," she said.
Prior to his arrest on Monday, Balfour was set to appear before a parole board on December 3 seeking a possibly release from police custody.

How would he feel that someone did this to his mother, brother,and newphew. Just because he was mad and found her with another man. than he should of did his homework a little bit better than he did. I don't know why he's trying to be innocent now. If you did the crime now you have to do the time as well. He sgould of thought about what he did before thinking about doing this in the first place.

jennifer i think deep in my heart that your brother in law had something to do with it becausehe was a jealous person and your nephew was there when he came in the house so your mother answered the door he went up stairs to act like he was talking to your brother first shot him first then he probley came back down stairs in shot your mom and took your nephew because he was and i witness that so sad u need to pay the next 48 to handle this case soon aspossible i dont like him and i dont even know him let him get killed in jail he will soon tell on his self because he will i ther go crazy or they will hunt him bad

THAT YOUNG MAN DIDNT DO THIS.....HOW COULD HE HAVE DRIVEN THE TRUCK WHEN HE WAS IN CUSTODY....JEN BETTER LOOK AT HER SISTER...HER CLOTHES SHOULD BE TESTED FOR GUN POWDER RESIDUE..WHEN I SAW HER ON THE NEWS AND SHE REFERED TO HER SON AS "THE BOY" WITH NO SIGN OF EMOTION I WAS DONE.....ANY WOMAN OUT THERE WHO IS A MOTHER..KNOWS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT......

I think that Miss. jennifer is not the Saint they are building her up to be and neither was her family. i think there was some deep s____ going on with that entire house. you know what goes on in the hood stays in the hood.

I personally think that a big surprise is in order when they finally cut throught the chase. Jennifer's brother and sister know more than what they are saying. Trust me...and the brother, since he has been involved with drugs, he could have possibly owed some folks, or a drug deal gone bad. Yes I most certainly feel that the Balfour is definetly involved to the MAX.
