I mean, I love Bey, but I am soooooooooooo tired of seeing her in EVERY thing. Can she give us a break? And why can't she let other sisters have a chance at stuff? At this rate, I could go a few years without seeing her.

I have been attending Essence for the last few years. But this year I think they have priced themselves out of the market at a very difficult time for everyone. Up until now, every seat was the same price. This year, to purchase the same seating area buying the full weekend package, I must pay more than $400.00 for a seat that only would cost around $165. H-to-the-no!, I'm not going!

I applaude kelly on parting ways with her money hungry coniving sneaky shady dad as her manager, she should have done this a long time ago!As for bighead'ce don't she have enough attention and exposure and money? move out the way there are other people that deserve a chance to display thier talent too stop being so greedy it will soon catch up to you in the worst way!!!

Here we go again! People who miss the point! Obviously, they don't read "Essence" and know nothing about the awards (who and what they recognize). This is not a hood rat, booty shaking affair. Look at the LIST of musicians - not one in sight. Look at the LIST of people doing seminars - not an uninvoled in relevant ISSUES, what's in it for me parasite in the "A" list. Do your homework, people; keep up. Beyonce is in the list with Anita Baker (You do know who she is????) and the others for the same reason she was chosen to sing the Etta James song that Obama danced to; her audience is not JUST your musical interest. For those of you who didn't address the article. who, instead, used this forum to vent your angry envy, grow up!
the ballad.

B Smith, you are missing the point. People here are simply saying they would like to see other sisters get a chance at SOMETHING. Beyonce has the option to say no but it seems she never does. I'll have to agree, I am pretty tired of always seeing her everywhere myself. It's not that people are hating on her it's just that pretty soon nobody is going to want to see her because everyone will be burned out. I'm at that point now. There are plenty women who could blow her out of the water singing, but who would know if it's always about Beyonce?

To B. smilth #7,
YOU MISSED THE POINT? I guess you were addressing that comment to ME. Yeah, I read the article CORRECTLY. I did not say that Bey was going to BOOTY SHAKE at the FESTIVAL. I just said, that's what you see of Bey wether it be on videos, TV performances, whatever?. What I see and I'm sure other people see too what she does and have been doing for years. RELEVANT. We are TIRED of it, OUR OPINION! I do know who the other artist are they aren't FOREIGN? I mean come on? Don't think that I am stupid. They are good artist? Nobody is knocking them down?
To me, at the Inaugural Ball Beyonce was innocent Beyonce not "SASHA FIERCE" on this occasion. You probably don't understand, and DON'T GET IT? Beyonce has a long way to go to develop into a mature R&B artist and her music in my OPINION! Nobody said any HATEFUL WORDS or called them OUT OF THEIR NAME on here? So what are you sayin? You need to GROW UP and GET WITH THE PROGRAM of REALITY and let people say what they want to say on here.
Have a good day Ms. B. Smith
