Platinum-selling R&B crooner Chris Brown can now say he's in a class along with such icons as Michael Phelps, Kobe Bryant and Whoopi Goldberg – all folks who lost endorsement deals due to headline grabbing controversy.
Today, the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company suspended the major marketing campaign, which featured the Jive Records singer.

A spokesperson for the company issued the following statement regarding Brown's advertising campaign for Doublemint gum:
"Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved. Given the current information around the incident is speculative it is premature for us to comment further."
Sunday night, the chart-topper was arrested for allegedly assaulting an unidentified woman – who many believe was his girlfriend Rihanna -- in Los Angeles earlier that day.
A Jive Records spokesperson did not respond to inquiries regarding the controversy.

If it is true that she gave him herpes she should be ashame of herself, and I hope it is not true because you can not get rid of herpers and he will have to live with that the rest of his life, he young and what to get married and have kids on day but who knows I alway said I thought they should just be friends and if these young people have sex protect yourselfs and play it safe, because it is alot of things out there that you can not get rid of. They both are in my prayers and hope everything turns out for the best for both of them.

They should stop spreading rumors of herpes. They had a fight in his lambo after the grammy pre-show. It is not plausible that between the party and the car ride he found out she gave him herpes and then got violent. They did report in the daily news that she was jealous of him checking out other girls at the party. That would explain the fight on the way back to their hotel. This seems more believable. Sensationalized drama is not always the truth.

well i lyk them both but,my gut feeling is telling me Rihannna steped her ass outa line and Chris had to remind her,I mean he over acted,he shouldve handled the situation a little more adult lyk,no woman deserves to be hit but,on top of that men shouldnt be provoked.

yeah no one should be hit but if she hit him he has a right to defend himself but what's up with them talking about she had bite marks ! what guy bites a woman in a fight ! a slap to the jaw or a black eye maybe. it sounds like they were being kinky or playing to rough and it got out of hand !

The other reporting sites indicated the 'visible injuries' included bites. Who bites? We may never know the full story of what happened that night. The reports indicated that she was still screaming and freaking out at the hospital. I hope neither one of them are getting high, but the whole thing sounds weird and biting just seems sadistic. I'm disappointed.

Now that you guys at the top of the charts with good endorsements. There is everything that you have to look out for or they will snatch it away from you, If you have to get physical with someone then there is no need to be with that person cause you are only going to get hurt in the end. Stay strong both of you and communicate more relationships are about give and take along with respect for each other and consideration.
