In 2006 , the former Atlantic Records recording artist graced the small screen with her short-lived BET series 'Countdown to Lockdown,' which had the highest-rated premiere in the network's history. The show documented the rapper's final two weeks of freedom before serving one-year-and-a-day in a Philadelphia Detention Center for conspiracy and perjury of a 2001 shooting outside New York radio station Hot 97.

Now that she's affiliated with the nationally syndicated 'Dancing with the Stars,' the pint-size rapper can take advantage of the show to market her forthcoming as-yet-untitled fifth album, set for release later this year.

"I'm getting ready to come with a whole new flavor, a whole new style," she told 'MTV News' last month. "And I don't care what nobody says, I'm not gonna let anyone pigeonhole me. This is what it is. I'm coming with it...I'm gonna be singing, I'm gonna be flowing. Whatever I feel. It's not gonna be so strategic or placed. It's gonna be whatever I feel. I'm gonna have fun on my next album. It's coming soon. Really soon."

The two-hour season premiere of 'Dancing with the Stars' airs on March 9 at 8PM/ET.
