It was only a matter of time. Since news broke on Feb. 8 about Chris Brown and Rihanna's alleged altercation prior to this year's Grammy Awards, many have speculated about how severe the multiplatinum singer's injuries were.
Various media outlets reported that Rihanna's injuries were "horrific" and that photos demonstrated "devastating proof of abuse."
Unfortunately, those early police reports appear to be true.
Late Thursday evening, TMZ obtained a photo taken of the 'SOS' singer following the dispute.
The chart-topping couple's ordeal has been a topic of discussion among many celebrities, including former Def Jam president Jay-Z , who recently spoke out in support of Rihanna.

"This is a real situation," he said in Phoenix during NBA All-Star weekend. "You have to have compassion for others. Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that," he continued.
"I just think we should all support her. She's going through a tough time. You have to realize she's a young girl, as well. She's very young."
Brown turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department on Feb. 8 and was charged with one count of felony criminal threats. He was later released on $50,000 bail. A week later, he released a statement expressing his regret.

everyone's jumping down chris browns back calling him an a abuser but nobodies acknowledging that we weren't there we don't know who hit who first, what did she say or do to make him spaz out like that. None of us can't act like we've never become so angry by our significant other that you wanted to smacked fire out that ass. I am a woman who believes you jump in a mans face like you can beat his ass you better be ready to deal with the consequences whatever they may be. Noone is above an ass whipping.

There is still speculation that some injuries were sustained from a car accident that night. I'm not defending Chris Brown, but I wasn't there and neither was 99.9% of everyone else that has so much to say about this situation. Yes, it is horrible. Many of us HAVE gone through this and ARE currently in this type of relationship, but its not spread all over the universe so its easy to pass judgement. ONLY God, Chris and Rihanna really know what happened, why, and how. Yes, she looks horrible. We all pray that she recovers quickly and safely, but since judgement is not ours, IF Chris did this to her lets put him in God's hands and pray for him as well that he has learned his lesson.

The man said he needed help. That means guilty. No car accident. 100% ass whippin. He beat blood from the girl. That's a DAMNED SHAME. The man WILL be judged. That's someone's daughter. I doubt god will stop him from being punished for being judged by god's people. after all, the universal law according to the bible is a wound for a wound. Those injuries are'nt the result of no car accident. If they are, where are his? why are'nt they posted? Why did'nt he say it was a car accident that caused it instead of saying he was sorry and needed help? If you were Chris Brown's lawyer, YOU could'nt save him. GOD would'nt allow you. How about that?

I just think this is wrong. Domestic violence occurs everywhere everyday and I am confused to why they are continuing to talk about this incident. TMZ as wrong for posting this photo!!!

since when has the media given a damn about what someones privacy or consent means..TMZ wanted to break the story..and one has to question their whole methods they use to get a story...lawyer or not...unethical is what it is...they try to ambush you and ask you personal things that no one mihgt have known before...like a bad cop trying to provoke you, so that they can inflict punishment on you...they wanted to make sure that everybody would be mad enough to clip his balls off and this should do it...

I feel that this situation has gotten way out of hand. Yes; this is a tramatic situation for Rihanna, but we cannot just point fingers and blame Chris Brown. I am a fan of both artist, and I still support them both, but none of us were there so we cannot say what happened. We don't know what really started the argument, or who threw the first blow. All we know is what was reported. I honestly think the whole situation was blown out of proportion a bit. I mean everyone is treating this as if they are not regular people. I mean Chris Brown is no different from any other 19 year old male, and Rihanna is no different from amy female her age. The only difference between us and them are our jobs. Yes, they had a argument and it escalated to a fight, but why treat this any differently than any other domestic abuse case? I mean to give him a 50,000 bond was ridiculous! It probably didn't mean much to him because he has the money, but that's besides the point. Any other man hitting any other woman without celebrity status would not have gotten a bond that high, so why should he? I also wish people would stop going around saying that Chris Brown "beat" Rihanna. He didn't beat her they got into a fight...it is a BIG difference. I'm not saying that I condone the behavior of either one, but if one should be ridiculed about the situation why should both? They both are celebities and they should both know better than to act in such a way, especially if you have younger fans. I hope that they can solve this situation between themselves. And if I am only 20 and I can see both sides of this clearly so should everyone else.

i agree with you renee. people leave chris and rihanna alone. this has gotten way out of hand and who knows who started the fight. and what about how chris looks. rihanna could be a jealous scorned lover and she could have started. i dont support domestic violence. but from a woman's point of view, we do start alot of fights.. i can say it because i'm 32 y.o and have started alot

How are you feeling Rene? I pray that you're well and in the best of health. I agree with you 99.99 percent. But the problem that I have as a true man of Almighty God, is that a man should never hit, beat or disrespect our black African queens or any other woman who have the ability to give life. I would lose complete control, if a man put his hands on a woman in a heat of a augument, fight or whatever caused the unfortunate incident. Men must learn to turn the other cheek and think with their brain and not their hands. I believe that Chris Brown don't have any visable injuries or had too go to the hispital! When do it stop Rene? Black folks is beating the the hell out of each other and engaging in foolishness. Every three seconds a female is being raped, beaten or killed, by sick and mentally demnized boys not men. I real man have put them childish though away and live life by respecting all women, even if some women don't respect themself. I am deeply concerned about the youth engaging in so-called relationships and underminding the fundamentals of sound judgment.
You're correct, we don't know the whole story. Yes they're young and can hopefully move forward and learn from the aforementioned incident.
The bail was very high. Nevertheless, please have a bless day and continue standing firm on truth. Robb...
