Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies, including assault and making criminal threats, the Associated Press reports. The R&B superstar turned himself in to Los Angeles Police Department officials on Feb. 8, after an alleged altercation with his girlfriend, chart-topping singer Rihanna.
The 19-year-old Jive Records recording artist was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats after police say a woman identified him as her attacker.
A person familiar with the incident but not authorized to speak publicly identified the woman as Brown's girlfriend, Rihanna.
On Feb.19, photos surfaced of the 20-year-old Barbados born beauty --exclusively via TMZ.com-- clearly proving that she was beaten and battered. The Def Jam Records chanteuse, who's also a spokesperson for Cover Girl Cosmetics and Gucci, has yet to publicly speak about the incident, but she did send a note out to her fans that she was "strong and doing well."
The College Survival Guide
A Fridge
Regardless of whether you have a wonderful sized meal plan, your fridge may come in handy with leftovers or when you feel like stocking it with bottled drinks.
Computer
The convenience of a computer is essential when sending your kids off to college. Forget the hike to the computer lab across campus students need a computer in the comfort of their room. A printer comes in handy as well. Depending on whether your child plans to carry his laptop around campus, you might opt for a desk top since they're lighter on the pockets.
Snacks
You will surely survive with off of a meal plan but it doesn't hurt to stock up on snacks when you don't feel like leaving your dorm room. Bottled water, pop corn, cereal and Ramen noodles are all low budget snacks to stock up on. Just be weary of the freshman 15.
Things from home
Some college students suffer from homesickness the first year. It's best to surround yourself with things like photos of the family, pillows or even stuffed animals. Anything that reminds your child of home.
MP3 Player
With all the stress that comes from school and exams, sometimes it's nice to block out the chaos in your life and even your roommate with music. It's nearly impossible to find students walking to class who aren't jamming to tunes.
Budget
Students who enter college often come in at the ripening age of 18. A great time for credit cards. Parents beware, your child may end up ruining their credit at a young age
Alarm Clock
When you're in college you don't have the luxury of getting awaken by your parents. It's now your responsibility to get to class on time so alarm clocks are a must. But keep your roommate in mind. You shouldn't wake him up ever morning with a blow horn alarm.
Cleaning supplies
Now you don't necessarily need to bring in the rubber gloves, mop and gas mask but it doesn't hurt to bring along Clorox all purpose wipes for spills or dust. Vacuums and brooms come in handy too depending if you have a carpeted dorm.
Bedding
What most parents aren't aware of is that most college beds are twin sized but extra long and require special sheets. When shopping keep your eye open for sheets that clearly state 'extra long' or else your child may come up short.
Shower shoes
You really don't know what some people do in the shower these days. College showers are known to be creeping with germs so spare yourself the fungus and purchase flip flops for the shower. You'll thank us later!
Police reportedly presented their case weeks ago, but prosecutors asked for more information.
Meanwhile, everyone else from family members to wardrobe stylists, thug rap icon 50 Cent, neo-soul diva Angie Stone and even Gayle King has chimed in about the drama.Last weekend, news of the couple reuniting made headlines. The two singers were reportedly spotted at rap mogul Sean Combs's Miami mansion, then flying back to Los Angeles on a private plane.
Brown is expected to be arraigned today at 3:30 PM in downtown LA. There are reports that he could face a maximum of four years and eight months in prison.

Why isn't there more of their fellow entertainers publicy speaking out? She needs to see that her peers are supporting her. He needs his peers to pressure him into theropy. She needs to follow examples like Tina Turner, and see she can have a beautiful, full life without a man beating her down. She needs to be rescued, someone needs to step up to the plate. Tina, give her a call.

Domestic violence is a two way street. DO YOU REMEMBER THE MOVIE "A THIN LINE BETWEEN LOVE AND HATE?" He is 19 dealing with women and money and truly not really ready to settle down. Grandma says, a book can have a pretty cover -- it is when you begin to read the book that the pages are not like the cover. Move on Chris--that book is not for you.

I think Chris Brown is a big joke. For a big ass man to beat up a woman is a shame and a true punk move. Rhianna and any woman who takes a man back after he beat the hell out of her is stupid and shows how dumb women are. Men are only going to do what women allow them to do and if you allow a man to beat you, maybe you deserve it. I don't feel sorry for a woman that stays with an abusive man, because she has a choice and that's what she chose, so either shut up deal with the beatings or leave him. Stop calling the police and not pressing charges. Save a phone call and take your beating like the dumb ass woman you are.

Kimeko, hit the nail on the head. The first time we get hit by a man we are a victim. The second time we are consenting to this type of abuse. It is time to stand up and walk away no matter how much he begs you to come back you are just giving in to manipulation and more abuse.

It's funny out of all the comments I have read, celebrity and non-celebrity, not one person has offered to reach out to this young man to help him with what is an obvious illness. I am 100% against domestic violence, but her being back with him proves they both need psychological help. From his own mouth we know he was raised in an atmosphere where violence is how one handled domestic problems. Of course he hated what was done to his mother, and I am sure he never knew it was in him, but statistics prove people raised in that type of home are prone to repeat the behavior. Makes you wonder what her homelife was like in her formative years, seeing as how she is back with him. Couldn't have been too stable, something was missing because if she had the proper life tools, then she would know that by his side is not where she needs to be at this time.
He needs to be dealt with accordingly for his actions, but beating him up with words won't fix one thing.
I am sure that if he had it to do all over again he thinks he wouldn't, but until he learns how to handle stress correctly it could very well happen again.
Our society elevates people barely out of adolescence to levels that they are not ready for because of their financial status. This is a kid in a mans world, 19 or not, he is so not mature and she may have just turned 21, but she too is still a kid. Too many adults who should be speaking the truth to them live off of them, hence no rules, no regulations and no repercussions and now there is a big mess. Who cleans it up this time?

See what happens when you seek fame? Black eyes, bites,punches/punyo's, sociopath behavior, who knows what next, a burning bed? Never put your life on a stage.Media, there will always be those who hate you ( Jealousy), so die young or decide that your life is worth more than a culo/a-- whoppin, by someone who tells you after your beatten, " I love you baby". If you were a baby, you'sd be dead. Prison is a hard lesson, very brutel, just like the beating that this young man gave to his? girlfriend. Well another Black Male, done in by ? his own hand. Its a shame, I'm tried of our community losing our children to rage and ignorance of love. Change is a good life saver, when its not to late. 19 and he's a goner already. People better start thinking about how they "Play" life, and disrespect themselves. Come back to the middle. Being insane is not pretty.

Well, from what i read what he did to her why was he in such a rage like that, she needs to stay away from him and get herself together and focus on her and not him because he needs help and with time maybe he can make it work in the future but right now just take some time away from each other.
