"That's my brother. When you work with someone that closely, you bond the relationship. Chris is like a baby brother to me. He made a mistake, and I know for a fact that...there's a lot of reason behind it all and all of that, and he's going to grow from it. He's young. He's 19. We've all made mistakes. It's unfortunate that at his age and Rihanna's age, their mistakes are blasted in the public eye, and I petition for everybody to be patient and keep them in your prayers. It's tough out here, and the scrutiny that comes from growing up in the public eye is tough. That's how I feel about it."

11/20/08: OutKast
Despite various setbacks, OutKast member Big Boi still has plans to release his sophomore album 'Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty.' And according to the rapper, the project's delay may very well be worth the wait. Big Boi recently revealed to 'MTV News' that in addition to his album being released in 2009, fans can also expect a solo release from Andre 3000 as well as a new OutKast album. "Me and 'Dre were on the conference call [recently]," he explained. "He's working on his album; my album is done. We're gonna wait until the top of the year - January or February - to put it out. Then 'Dre is gonna come hit y'all, and [then] we're gonna do the OutKast album. So y'all gonna get three records from the 'Kast next year." In the meantime fans can catch Big Boi on November 25 when he appears on an episode of 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.'

Fifty, whose forthcoming album 'Before I Self Destruct' was originally scheduled for a December 6 release before being pushed back to December 16, is now tentatively set for February 3. "I'm trying to leave the same way I came in," he revealed to MTV. "February 4 [2003], 'Get Rich or Die Tryin' came out. I drop this album February 3. The time frame. It used to take six to eight weeks for us to position a hip-hop record. Now, it's taking 12 to 14 weeks." Although the rap mogul expressed his satisfaction with the album's current single 'Get Up,' he did mention that he's "just looking for the opportunity to present more of my material [prior to the album's release]. It's not the strongest effort on my album; it's just a great start for me."
11/20/08: Montell Jordan
Grammy Award-nominated singer Montell Jordan returns to the music scene with his new studio album 'Let It Rain.' The new project reflects a more grown and sexy side of the R&B singer, which is a huge difference from Jordan's earlier days as he describes. "Those people that understand that the time frame that my music was originally created are now a more grown and sexy group of people," he told Eurweb.com. "We went from the college era, and the party style to becoming adults, and so that's where my music is now." And to keep in touch with the adult side of partying, Jordan reached out to the "World's Greatest Entertainer" Doug E. Fresh for the album cut entitled, 'Left Alone.' 'Let It Rain' is in stores now.
11/20/08: Lupe Fiasco
Despite releasing his debut album 'Food & Liquor' in 2006, Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco is looking to unplug his microphone following the release of his triple disc album entitled, 'LupEND.' The rapper recently made the announcement during his Halloween show in Chicago, explaining that the album's title stands for "everywhere," "nowhere" and "down here." "When you play a videogame, you can only put in three letters for your name and when the game's over, those three letters and 'END' pop up," he continued. "My next record might be my last one." Although Lupe is making plans to retire, there is no official word from his label, Atlantic Records, regarding a release date for the project.

Yall really need to leave chris the hell alone. just becuz he's a celeb doesnt give you the right to be all in his biz and judge him. Him being a celeb doesnt mean a damn thing. he's still human.
I'm glad columbus is defending his lil bro, sombody has to. He cant defend himself right now due to the legal stuff. and that drives me crazy. People are going on about this as if they know him. YOU DONT KNOW SH*T ABOUT CHRIS!! nor do you have a right to judge him. Nor do you know what really hppend that night. so stay the f*ck out of it! That goes for Oprah..ellen..tyra..everybody! I'm sure if this was happening to your family you would'nt want people judging them and being all up in thier biz so dont do it to anybody else. if he needs your advice or counsel he'll ask for it! untill then leave him ALLLONNNEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

I think everyone needs to get a life. People get into arguments when they are in a relationship. No one knows what really happened between the two of them. Of course they gone automatically blame the man which happens to be Chris in this incident. She probably hit him, or who knows. Everyone makes mistakes, and no one can pass judgement on him. Chris just doesn't seem like that type.

I believe we should help this young man and woman get through this tough time. I know old digging Robin Givens is looking for more face time on the backs of these young kids problems. One thing we should all understand is what if the story is all wrong. What if she really beat him up while he was driving, and he defended himself, while driving and crashed. What if some of her bruises are from the crash. What if this is one of the nicest young men in the world and he just got tired of being punched, scratched, and slapped while driving. I mean has anyone heard his side of the story yet. I am sure some of you women have had a tuff time with bad men, however this is a kid and we should help him not destroy him.

It's sad that this happened and it is not ok to hit women, however, we don't know what's been going on between them. He will pay for his mistakes. They will BOTH grow from this experience. I am not happy with Chris but he is human and humans make mistakes. People should mind there own business, and find stuff about themselves to pick at!!! I feel sorry for famous people because of how this country FEEDS off their heartbreaking experiences, that they have in life. It's hard enough, to get through stuff, when your not famous but our country has lost all respect for the privacy of the people in the entertainment industry. It's not ok to just throw people under the bus, either try to help or don't say anything.

Being in the public eye, everyone expects you to act a certain way. Chris is always trying to smile for the public, to act as if life is always great. That is a job in itself. On top of that, they're on their way to a special event that evening, when his girlfriend is going through his cell phone and starts an argument. Instead of waiting until after the event, Rihanna wants to discuss it now! She's probably all up in his face pointing fingers and making a big deal, as you know how we women do. Obviously, he's never hit her before or she wouldn't be all up in his face. She probably does this often, because she knows he's he's not going to do anything to her. But, this time she pushes him over the edge. I bet she's regretting it now. This is causing both their careers harm. I've done stupid stuff like this, and I know that most women have. But you know what? I'm going to stop, because I don't want to be another Rhianna! I'm not taking Chris's side, but I do feel that he's under a lot of pressure with the music business and trying to be Mr. Perfect for all of us and Rhianna.

I wonder have any of you put yourselves in each persons place here....say this was your daughter that received the horrible beating...then what if it was your son that did the beating. No one is Judging chris...but do not pretend he did no wrong. I agree we really don't know what happen here....but things did get out of hand. This could have been fatal as so many other abuse cases turn out to be.

I agree Donna. Leave this boy alone. Everyone judging him and Rihanna. Not one of you people know what happened.Oprah and her friends have sticks so far up their butts they don't know what day it is. They might be just trying to sell CD's. They both have new ones coming out. Those agents have those stars doing some crazy stuff.
