R&B-singer-turned-reality-star Keyshia Cole is gearing up for yet another tour in support of her latest album, 'A Different Me.' Beginning May 13 in Cincinnati, Cole, alongside singer-songwriter Keri Hilson, The Dream, and Bobby Valentino, will hit the road for a 20-city trek. For Cole, connecting with fans through touring is the "most intimate" aspect of her career. "The most gratifying thing for me in show business is having the ability to be intimate with my fans. Singing directly to them is the most intimate thing I can do," she said in a statement. 'A Different Me' tour ends June 20 in Los Angeles.
4/21/09: T.I.
As T.I. prepares to serve his one-year sentence on May 19 for felony weapons charges, he also has plans to re-release his platinum-selling album 'Paper Trail.' 4/21/09: Black Eyed Peas
Back by popular demand, Grammy Award-winning group the Black Eyed Peas have finally released their latest single, 'Boom Boom Pow,' from their forthcoming album, 'The E.N.D.' According to group member Fergie, the song is "kind of to the left" for a first single, which she says transcended into the concept for the video's single. "The concept is the Peas' birth into the digital afterlife," she recently told 'MTV News.' "So the transformation is us going into a sort of birth or cocoon and coming out the other end as forms of energy. It's a parallel to the music industry. Now everything is downloaded." 'The E.N.D' (The Energy Never Dies) is set to hit stores in June.
4/21/09: LeToya Luckett

"The first album was more about getting adjusted to being solo and finding my lane," Luckett explained to the 'Hollywood Reporter.' "It's still about soulful feel-good music. However, I didn't want to be stuck in a comfort zone. I wanted to be freer, more daring vocally and lyrically, to reflect the situations I've experienced."
4/21/09: Cam'ron
Despite being on hiatus for few years, Harlem-bred MC Cam'ron is set to make his return to the hip-hop scene next month with his new album, 'Crime Pays.' The former Dipset front man recently revealed to Billboard that he's taking advantage of the World Wide Web to help generate interest for the project. "The idea was to put out a video every week to warm people up to the album," he said. "I didn't care about putting out singles. I just wanted people to know the album was coming. That's what I love about the Internet. Instead of having to wait on radio to play your song or TV to play your video, I can use the Internet as a tool to get my music out earlier." 'Crime Pays,' which features 'I Used to Get It in Ohio' and 'Cookies and Apple Juice,' hit stores May 12 via Asylum Records.
4/21/09: Sean "Diddy" Combs

Well I got to say, that singing performance was AMAZING! I didn't know that Ashanti had such a strong voice? I actually, got goose bumps. She didn't over due the song, she didn't try to copy the singer Ms. Stephanie Mills style, and did it "Ashanti's Way"! For a second, I really thought in the above pic the woman featured along with Ashanti was Ms. Stephanie Mills? I read, and that was her mother. I admit, I was one of those people that commented on her a month ago on the BV Blogs and said that she wouldn't be able to sing in a Broadway Musical. I was so wrong. I guess when she first started people didn't look at her as this good vocalist and focused more so on her looks? Ashanti has matured into a wonderful talented singer/actress, and is ready to go to the next step in her career. She is almost there.
This video clip proved to me that she is a "STAR" and can take on any challenges that life puts out there for her! Hopefully on her next album and better record label, she will be a success! Her last album to me wasn't good at all.
Ashanti will do better without Irv Gotti. She will survive. It was time for her to explore and mature anyway. You go Ashanti!!!!!!!

I also wanted to say, Ashanti's look reminds me of the actress that played in Ice-Cube's movie "Player Club". I can't remember the actress name but in the movie her name was "Diamond"? Anybody out there know who I'm talkin about?

Please stop Ashanti. Get singing lessons. Her vocals are not strong enough for the WIZ!

Having seen this on Broadway with Stephanie Mills... I can unequivically say that they could have, and should have found some one else to do this roll...Why not Kelly Roland? How about Dawn from Danity Kane? Anyone but Ashanti...she sounds like a 5 year old trying to sing adult music...

This video of her performance only proves my first comment about Ashanti. Who said she had a strong voice? She's yelling and has no vibrato in her voice on the so-called high notes. She stinks plain and simple. You mean to tell me this is the best that they can get? I've seen The Wiz on Broadway in the 70's and 80's, sung by Stephanie Mills. I've heard home sung by Anika Noni Rose, and quite a few other talented females. I must say this is the worst i've heard. Broadway cannot be serious about this show. I've noticed music has slowly went down the drain by young adults with minimal or lack of talent, only attractiveness in their corner, now Broadway? And her "Pipes" need major cleaning! I'm Not an Ashanti hater, just a realist who knows talent when she hears it, not sees it!

I agree. omg ashanti should not embarras herself like this. She should not be Dorothy in my favorite play and movie. She sounds like a young kid learning how to sing at singing lessons or a student in a school play. I looove the wiz but i won't be seeing this one. Sorry broadway you lost me with this one.

I have to second that. Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls) is one talented woman. I heard her sing Home and just knew that she would play dorothy one day on broadway. Ashanti is a talentless girl. I'm a frequent broadway goer and people on broadway can "SING".
I saw Usher in Chicago and Fantasia in The Color Purple. Two amazing performers with vocal abilities. What I just heard from Ashanti, my 9 year old niece can belt out. Broadway has hit a big NO-NO with this girl. Are they deaf or desperate to get African Americans money? They don't know it yet but they just saved this black man approximately $300 Orchestra Seats for him and his wife. Thanks!
