Both Atlanta-based (by way of Oakland) women have had their fair share of drama play out for the public to see. Frankie (legally known as Frankie Lons) has served time in jail and has battled substance abuse. She likes younger men and she loves to party -- even becoming a mainstay on black gossip blogs and fodder for urban radio shock jocks. Neffe (legally known as Nefferteria Pugh), on the other hand, is a baby machine. She is reportedly the mother of six children and is expecting another one from an aspiring rapper named So-Low.
Living with, around and off Cole is one of the most emotionally charged themes of 'The Way It Is'
Breaking away from the 'Heaven Sent' singer will surely prove to be more difficult than expected for her birth mother and sister, and their emotions are sure to hit a fevered pitch.
Eight episodes of the series, produced by James DuBose, are set to run.

I like the Frankie and Neffie show however Neffie needs to be little more carefull in what she let's slip out of her mouth especially when she's talking to her mother and her kids are listen, it doesn't matter that Frankie was on drugs and went to the pen she still is her mother and should be respected BET has done well this is a good example of the everyday issues that many family's struggle with, however most won't admitt it. I hope at the end of this they come out a stronger and happier family and Ms.Cole better not be ashamed, cause then it's shame on her. Success doesn't make you a big shot and I wish the whole family love and happiness

Good Luck on the new show. I watch it weekly, but I think Frankie should go out on her own - it is detrimental to her recovery, otherwise, she may relapse. I see big things happening for her because she honestly is all about CHANGE because she recognizes her past demons and wants to confront them head on. But her daughter is taking this reality thing much too serious. It is all about a game to her. She is continually blaming her mother for all of her past, present and future mistakes. She is a very angry, disgruntled young lady who is continually making the same mistakes her mother made in the past. The only exceptions are that she is choosing to stay with her children and does not use drugs. I hope she ponders on these thoughts and seriously thinks about this because as a young mother the choices she makes today will not only dictate her life, but the lives of each of those innocent children she continues to birth into this world. I pray that she decides to secure stable employment or job placement skills to support her family in the manner that other families do in society - otherwise, make a decision to stop having kids. Believe me, Neffie, it is that simple. It is not about you baby, it is all about you at the end of the day. It is all about what God has designed for each of our lives. But you have to let go and let Him truly come into your life. Stop playing games - this reality stuff and sudden fame living off the back of your sister Keisha Cole can only go so far. The reason I put that plug in is because you guys are just normal people just like everyone else. No one would have ever known anything about you if it were not for her, but now that you have been brought to the fore front, do something positive with your life and the fame. Don't blow your blessing. Because if you keep acting up on television before long nobody will keep watching you and ratings will go down then your show will be cancelled and you won't have any income from that source. And the way things look, you really don't want to work (you really can't with new babies coming every so often anyway). But Frankie on the other hand she's trying to do big things and she's the one that you rag all the time. She has a job, she's trying to write a book, and she does motivational speaking. Take a few tips from your mom. She still has a lot of knowledge to share with you.
