Chris Brown has copped a plea deal to his felony assault case where he was charged with beating up on-again-off-again girlfriend Rihanna.
The 'Forever' singer pleaded guilty and will spend 180 days doing community labor in a Virginia domestic violence program. He will also serve five years probation and return to court every three months.
Around 1:30 PM PST, the popular R&B singer arrived to a downtown Los Angeles courtroom, where he was greeted by a sea of paparazzi and news media outlets.
TMZ reported that his attorney Mark Geragos met with the prosecutor and judge prior to Brown's arrival.
Rihanna was subpoenaed to testify at at the preliminary hearing. The Barbados-born 'Covergirl' spokesperson was present at the courthouse, but according to TMZ, never entered the actual courtroom proceedings.
If Brown violates probation, he could face up to four years in prison.

The more black people stick up for this kid , the more white people will know you'll never GET IT. The day when a black person can actually criticize another "brotha" is the day when they realize they can be just as smart and successful as whites.

Gee Steve, you seem to be in a bad place my friend.
You want to make domestic abuse a racial matter?
Seems you, can find bigotry everywhere you look..
White folks never criticize each other until the cover-up is exposed... then the poor guy is sick and off his meds... Come on, when's the last time you heard of a black man committing a crime and some one comes along and say's, hey he just made a mistake, because he won't take his meds... just cite me one case.... You folks even said Jeffery Domer was sick and not responsable... (for eating people!!!) Hey Henry Morgan hit his wife and they were in thier 70's... did you even hear about it. No-one went off the heezy yelling and screaming about domestic violence, they swept it under the rug... I mean, Henry Morgan, good ole Joe Fridays sidekick... (Dragnet)
Steve, people are people no matter what thier color. The racial angle is getting ole.... We all have our bias'.

I hope by Chris doing the 180 days in a Virginia labor domestic violence program and serving 5 years probation, and returning to court every 3 months he would learn his lesson and not repeat what had happened. No man and no woman should ever put their hands on one another! I pray that he and Rhianna change for the best too? Rhianna played a role, is also a victim, and should enroll in some type of domestic violence program and go get some type of continue support help for herself. I think it would be educational and awareness if Chris and Rhianna both did Seminars in different states and speak out to the young youths about domestic violence. This would be a good message to send and young youth.
I wonder if Chris and Rhianna every really apologized to the public on how sorry they both are? It will take time for a lot of fans and the media to regain the respect and to forgive both Rhianna and Chris.

Ok I don't think anyone in the public eye should apologise for anything that happens in their personal life, all the public is asking for is his songs, and what ever services a person in the public is owed, and I highly doubt it's that person's whole life because they have a talent. I didn't think Bill Clinton owed America an apology, his wife was the one he wronged, he was a damn good president, but no you had to push him out and put Bush in, are you thinking yourselves now America. Sorry I got off track, but I think it's fair, and I don't think this young man needs to be held as a poster child for domestic violence, because there are men out there that have beat their women over years, and your not holding them accountable, so leave this sweet boy alone and let him get his life back on track for "one" mess up in his life. I don't think his career should be over because he is human. And to Ri-Ri the pitty party is over, you can count yourself lucky for the fact that you are smart enough to leave after one punch, and not be hit for years, and you still have your life, some ladies can't say that, or say their pretty little faces are still in tact. So let's leave this all behind us, and hope the best for both of them.

Tracy, you are a straight up fool. No other words can describe such a stupid statement. You uphold the abuser and show contempt to some one who was beaten senseless.

I agree with Tracy. Although I don't condone Chris Brown's actions... it is not my place to judge him. Why don't we pray for this young man instead of shaking our heads in disgust. Pease remember that when Judgement Day comes we will be judged the same way we chose to judge others. Hope the individuals with their negative comments don't have any skeletons hiding their closet.

It is absolutely ridiculous that he faces no immediate jail time. The misogyny and violence is the industry is overwhelming...and everyone keeps quiet. Until the males in the industry speak up as men, there will always be another Brown and Rhianna. He's only sorry he was caught.
