OBVIOUSLY those who don't agree with Mr Piven don't respect what Michael JAckson is, have something wrong with them, clicked on the wrong button by accident or CLEARLY have NOT heard the "Off The Wall" album

Who wouldn't agree with him, and I am sure that Justin himself wouldn't argue against his statement, these celebrities like Justin, Usher, Chris Brown, Ginuwine, basically every celebrity will admit with confidence and pride that Michael Jackson has influenced them, and without him they wouldn't be where they are today. They themselves have admited it, so I don't see what the problem would be. If not for Michael Jackson alot of celebrities would be selling curly fries in the valley, or at Burger King or Mcdonalds. However I dont think he should have singled him out like that.

Ugh this country is in the crapper, We care more about celebrities then we do about important stuff that's going on. Although i do agree with Mr Piven because Michael made music what it is today, I'm just so sick of how we treat celebrities in this country. If Michael was still alive would he really give a damn if some one in your family died NO he wouldn't. I'm not saying I'm glad Michael is gone because I don't wish death on anyone and its a shame he had to die so young but I'm so tired of herring about this crap. There is more important things that this country is going through. With LA being in as much debt as they are, them spending the amount of money for the memorial is just plain DUMB. I'm so glad i No longer live in that damn state its so ridicules that people care more about some guy who died then we do with increased tax's, Cap and Trade, Unemployment, and The fact that the State's Government waists tax money on pointless crap and complains they have no money. Oh well though who cares about the important stuff. Sorry for venting but come on people its getting old.

Mike wake up Micheal Jackson did more for LA then they spent yesterday, Take a ookk at your self see what have you done for the world before you leave it. Crap is what you are talking mostly. The reason some celebrities get so much respect is when they pass,is they have contributed to the world.

Justin T has NO Talent...What so ever...NONE
As with Most White entertainers...they copy Black entertainers and make BIG BUCKS doing it....then they turn around and belittle and join the "HATE TRAIN" for the Black ARtist that they COPIED...
Why didn't Justin T get punish like Janet...he is the one that did it...and she is STILL BEING punish for this Super Bowl thing....
What happened to Michael Las Vagas Gig....?
I bet they would have Justin T..play there quicker than Michael..
It's a shame Race and skin color plays a factor in the entertainment world....
What happened to all the brown skin female singers/actress?
Why is Beyonce, Leonia Lewis girl from UK, Halle Berry, and all half bread promoted and giving better opportunities.....
This is year 2009....are you kidding me!
Why is anybody other than a real BLACK singer is promoted ..
We have chinese, Koreans, spanish, white and UK singers singing Black...and getting paid.
They know all they have to do is practice "One" song by a Black entertainer and That's it...instant Stardom!..they are set for life....in opportunities ...while Brown skin singers/musician been singing for years and can not get a steak house gig
Amy Winhouse is so out of it...she still get book on Major gigs...if that was a Black girl acting like that...her career would be OVER!!! with disgrace
What I'm getting act...Let's Protect Michael Legacy and
genius...
Let's us turn the TV and Radio off when they try to say negative thing about Michaels...let's write letters to the media and tell them "Enough is enough" of Bashing Michael and Blacks in the Media...
Make them RESPECT US.....Make them stop the Bashing....!

Justin, is a little wimp. He ran away like a puppy when that Janet Jackson stunt went wrong. He is a straight jacker of MJ's Style. He is a poser.

I agree wholeheartedly with Karen and Shellfish! And to add: I hate it when black entertainers accept these posers with open arms! It makes me sick how we are imitated from our music, our clothes, our overall style and now they're injecting their lips and asses to look full like ours. I guess black is the thing to be as long as you are not! It is thoroughly disgusting! Imitation is a form of flattery but not when you do not give credit where it is due... this goes for the "jennifer lopez" ass too. Black women have always had curvy, voluptuous bodies, but we are the last to be seen as beautiful, especially if we are dark skinned.
