Our friends in the mainstream media are at it again.
To have them tell it, Diana Ross doesn't want to have anything to do with the last will and testament of Michael Jackson – nor his glitzy Hollywood send off at the Staples Center.
But that doesn't appear to be true.
While Fox News reported that "the songstress was served quite the surprise last week when it was revealed Jacko named her as a secondary caregiver in his will," Ross said the complete opposite.
"Michael wanted me to be there for his children, and I will be there if ever they need me," the 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' songstress said in a statement obtained by The BV Newswire.
Since the late 1960s, when she introduced the Jackson 5 to the public via a Motown Records publicity campaign, Ross and Jackson have had a very close relationship. They appeared together on several major TV shows, starred in the 1978 movie 'The Wiz' and even collaborated on Ross' 1982 hit single 'Muscles.' She often referred to him as her baby. See video below.
Thus, she was noticeably absent from yesterday's star-studded celebration of his life, which included the likes of Mariah Carey, Brooke Shields, Stevie Wonder and Jennifer Hudson.
"I am trying to find closure, " Ross explained saying that while she wasn't there in person, she was there in her heart. "I have decided to pause and be silent. This feels right for me. Michael was a personal love of mine, a treasured part of my world, part of the fabric of my life in a way that I can't seem to find words to express."Fellow Motown Records icon Smokey Robinson read a special note Ross wrote for the occasion. "I hope, today brings closure for all those who loved him," she wrote, adding, "Thank you Katherine and Joe for sharing your son with the world and with me, I send my love an condolences to the Jackson family."

We are a rainbow of colors... Only Michael J knows
why he chose to marry white women maybe for the same reason that other black men do? And as fars as
MJ's bleachy skin if that is what it was. Maybe he thought it might make a difference, and he would be loved by the white main stream, after all whites sometimes do judge you on the color of your skin. Maybe he didn't want his black or mixed kids if he would of had any, to go through what he suffered as a black man. It seems since we have a Black President, white folks think they can just say or write anything about black folks like we was back in 1865. The only reason some sisters be rating and not hating is because some of you black men don't even take a first glance at a black woman. Bill you will never understand until you become black maybe in your next life.

To msbrownsugar2350,
My condolences to go to you and your family. 3 in a row in the same week, that is rough. In the "Bible", it says in order for God to work through us and to bless us, we have to lay down our family members and loved ones. May God give you and your family the strength to move on in these hard and difficult times. You and your family will get through this. God Bless you and your Family.
Peace!

People stay focus.Michael Jackson's problems are common in all families. The only difference is that his issues were more VISIBLE. If each person investigate their own family we will be SURPRISE to discover the secret HORRORs which exist. If the desires of our hearts were EXPOSED we would all be GUILTY of shameful acts. His abnormal life was very common in this ABNORMAL world. Let us all talk more with the person in your mirror!!We keep avoiding the real issue...ourselves. Then we look for comfort by judging others!!!!!!!!!!!

MJ was a musical genius, and a performance artist without comparison.
It was his music and dance production videos that put MTV on the map, and changed the entire concept of musical productions into the emergent artform that it is today.
I've never perceived him as one of ill intent. Quite the contrary, he holds the world's record for the most charity ever given by a single individual.
Let me repeat that so everyone can understand . .
Not Bill Gates. or Warren Buffet, or any of the other big names in finance and industry
Michael Jackson gave more money to charities around the world than any other human being in history.
Virtual everyone today who has become successful in the music / dance video production industry, owes more than they could ever repay to this unique individual who accelerated this artform into completely uncharted territory, around the world.
As for his personal controversies and challenges, I would be very careful about tossing stones in a glass house.
From my vantage point, what I see is an individual who never had access to a "normal" childhood, and somewhat as a consequence thereof, became a sort of target for scheming con artists and fake friends hoping to cash in on his fortune and fame.
Think what you may, but think carefully before you judge.
