Today appeared to be another history making day for Tracy Morgan and his '30 Rock' cronies. The wildly popular NBC sitcom scored 22 nominations, including Best Comedy Series, for this year's Emmy Awards.

The show - which took home Best Comedy last year -- set a precedent record by shattering its 2008 feat of 17 nominations.

Although the former 'Saturday Night Live' star had the honors of sharing the show's accomplishments in the past, this year he's up for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy. "It is an honor to be recognized by my peers and be a part of '30 Rock's' 22 nominations," the Bronx-born funnyman told Hollyscoop. "I want to thank everyone from Tina [Fey] to Lorne [Michaels] to everyone in craft services."

For the fourth year in a row, Chandra Wilson -- who just starred in Broadway's 'Chicago' -- was nominated for her role as Miranda Bailey on ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy,' and three-time Emmy Award winning TV legend Cicely Tyson garnered one for "Supporting Actress" in the relatively unknown Hallmark Channel miniseries 'Relative Stranger.' Chris Rock, who already has three Emmy Awards to his credit, snagged two more this year for his 2008 HBO comedy special 'Kill The Messenger.'

Meanwhile, actress/singer Vanessa Williams is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Wilhelmina Slater on ABC's 'Ugly Betty.' "I'm thrilled and honored to be nominated again this year," the successful former Miss America asserted. "I love my show and my character, Wilhelmina, and this recognition is truly icing on the cake."

Three-time Emmy-Award nominee and former 'The Sheild' actress CCH Pounder, also was nominated for her guest role in HBO's 'The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency,' which stars Grammy Award winner Jill Scott and Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose.

The 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards takes place live September 20 from Los Angeles' Nokia Theater at 8 PM/ET on CBS.
