Steve Harvey will be bringing his top-rated morning radio show back to Los Angeles this summer.
It was announced that the black-owned KJLH will bring 'The Steve Harvey Morning Show' to its lineup beginning Aug. 10. The show will air weekdays from 6 a.m.- 10 a.m. PT.

"Having a megastar such as Steve Harvey can only enhance what we do. ... I'm extremely excited about the possibilities," said Aundrae Russell, the station's program director.

Nationally syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks, the program is heard on more than 60 radio stations by approximately 6 million weekly listeners. It's also the number-one syndicated morning show in the top 25 metropolitan markets. Harvey, renowned as an 'Original King of Comedy,' is joined on the show by Shirley Strawberry, Carla Ferrell and his "Nephew Tommy" for a combination of heart, humor and music, along with celebrities from the world of sports and entertainment.

Karrine Steffans can add three-time New York Times best-selling author to her list of superlatives starting next month. The former video vixen-cum-author's newest book, 'The Vixen Manual,' will hit the New York Times Hardcover Advice/How-To list at the No. 7 spot on Aug. 2, BV Newswire has learned. That's three for three for the woman many refer to as "Superhead" – a term she garnered from performing oral sex on hip-hop superstars and famous athletes.

Her two previous memoirs, 'Confessions of a Video Vixen' and 'The Vixen Diaries,' blew the bed sheets off of the urban celebrity scene with tales about her torrid affairs, boomerang boyfriends and dramatic break-ups. For 'The Vixen Manual,' Steffans, who said she is married to 'Family Matters' star Darius McCrary, has created the ultimate relationship guide, including all of her hard-earned and invaluable advice for finding, seducing and keeping the man you want.

It's was clearly a best seller in the making, but with its explicit illustrations, etc., the book hasn't gone over too well with mainstream media reporters. Check out how welcoming they were to Steffans (pictured above with Nation of Islam Leader Minister Louis Farrakhan in 2006) this week while she was promoting her book.

Diahann Carroll will star in two upcoming Lifetime Original Movies
. The television pioneer will join Andie MacDowell, Daniel Sunjata, Annabeth Gish and Ashley Williams in 'At Risk' and 'The Front,' based on best-selling crime writer Patricia Cornwell's books of the same names. Each movie follows Massachusetts state investigator Win Garano (played by 'Rescue 911' hunk Sunjata) and his ambitious supervisor, district attorney Monique Lamont (played by MacDowell) as they investigate cases. Carroll stars as Garano's grandmother, Nana. The films, set to premiere in 2010, mark the first time that Cornwell's books have been adapted for the screen.

Art should imitate life when former NFL superstar Michael Strahan makes his TV acting debut in the new FOX series 'Brothers.' The comedy, which stars Strahan as former NFL hotshot Mike Trainor, is about realizing that even though you can always go home, the trip back might be tougher than you think. For the sitcom, which will premiere on Sept. 18, acclaimed actress CCH Pounder plays Trainor's mom, Carl Weathers will play his father and Daryl "Chill" Mitchell plays his brother. And it was officially announced this week that Snoop Dogg will play a guest part as a lawyer in a episode to air in October.
