Whitney Houston's much-publicized interview with Oprah Winfrey couldn't have had more peculiar timing. Her ex-husband, Bobby Brown, who seemed to be the main topic of the "candid" tête-à-tête with the billionaire media maven – is talking, too.
In promotion of his forthcoming 'Behind the Music' special, the 'My Prerogative' crooner recently opened up to 'The Insider' about his rocky relationship with Houston.
"I think we corrupted each other," Brown disclosed. "I don't think she hurt me or I hurt her in any way. I just think we had a 14-year marriage that had its ups and downs, and not many people understood it."
Houston confirmed Brown's statement by revealing that the two were inseparable during their marriage.

"I have not seen or spoken to my daughter since early June and I have no prospect of speaking to her anytime soon due to Whitney's actions," Brown declared in Orange County Superior Court documents filed Friday Aug. 24, 2007. "He was my drug," Houston confessed yesterday on the season premiere of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show.' "I didn't do anything without him. I wasn't getting high by myself. It was me and him together, and we were partners, and that's what my high was
-- him. He and I being together, and whatever we did, we did it together. No matter what, we did it together."Brown divulged what he says was the real reason for why he began abusing cocaine. "It's a powerful drug," he said, adding that he also turned to drugs because of the lack of enthusiasm in his marriage.
"I just think I was bored. I had just gotten married, and things [weren't] right, and I turned to alcohol and drugs."
Is that so, Bobby?
It appears marriage and boredom weren't the only thing that may have gotten the former New Edition member down in a slump. According to his 'Being Bobby Brown' autobiography, (which was later labeled "unauthorized" due to conflicts of interests between him and author Derrick Handspike), the Grammy Award-winning Boston native recalled drinking heavily when he separated from a famous former girlfriend .
"Before I met Janet [Jackson], I would never drink hard liquor. I only drank beer," he revealed. "But after our breakup, I started drinking hard liquor abundantly. I took the way our relationship ended very hard. Not to say we were head over heels in love, but she was someone I had a lot of feelings for."
"Besides, we were young and naive," he added. "I was only about 19 or 20 years old. Young love is no joke!"As for his thoughts on seeing his ex-wife on Winfrey's show, Brown doesn't seem too fazed by her appearance. "If there's something that she says that is untrue or disrespectful then...I'll deal with that with her."
Uh oh.
'Behind the Music: Bobby Brown' premieres on Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. ET on VH1.

I think Whitney and Bobby are two very talented people that gave their **all** to every performance, whether it was single or together. Whatever bought them together was not enough to keep them together. It is just sad that we, the music lovers, have missed the mellowness of Whitney's distintive voice and the tramatic movements Bobby's body>>>> Both were in a League of it's own

Hi,
God be with them.
I am happy Whitney is back, too much communications and interviews wouldn't help.
The past is gone let's all look forward to a good good future and how their sweet daughter can progress.
I have changed the negative to positive when I also experienced divorced and it is working perfectly.
Cheers

bobby and Whitney two people in a lot of pain with access to a lot of money. Money will make you and break you at the same time.I love your music and your just being Bobby episodes.I just think that everybody involved should fess up to the real truth about the situation. Both Bobby and Whitney was looking for something and it wasn't each other. It was all about the money and how much he could get and spend as soon as he could. They took the joke a little too far when Whitney got pregnant. Just keep it 100. Whitney got turned out on the bip bam and was willing to do whatever to hold on to the agony and extasy which started and ended with her trying to make a hot boy into her definition of Mr.Whitney. EVERYBODY KNOWS YOU CANT MAKE A BLA BLA INTO A GOOD HUSBAND.Whitney darling, real love does not cost you your self respect and your life. Real love does not hurt. Love and best wishes to Bobby, Whitney, and their daughter.
