Runaway daytime television sensation Wendy Williams has turned on the waterworks more than once since her television show officially premiered earlier this summer.
Today, however, while the brazen broadcasting diva talked about the much-publicized Whitney Houston-Oprah Winfrey interview during her "Hot Topics" segment, she had an emotional breakdown.
"Probably one of the reasons that I identify so much with Whitney is because I am an ex-cocaine offender, America," the former syndicated shock jock said to her live studio audience.
"I spent 10 years sneaking and doing and lying and betraying. What I was looking for from Whitney was ownership, and I didn't see it," she added. "So, for me, no matter what she said in that interview, she didn't own her habit. She's still blaming Bobby and the world."

"This is just my opinion, but I know that there are millions of addicts and ex-addicts. ... It has been over 10 years at this point for me, and it's not something I'm ashamed of, because it's a part of what makes me who I am today. "

Wendy Williams is a well known Whitney Houston hater.

I agree, I was at a friends house that had the show on and at first she seemed supportive; then she came out of nowhere with fake azz tears and had the nerve to blast Whitney. If Wendy can recover from CRACK why can't Whitney?

Wendy please stop with the crying. What I like about you is the way you keep it real. you hang with the people you love even when they are down not like oprah who turn on anyone as soon as anything goes wrong she is what we call a good time charlie She had a baby at 14yrs and she had quite a sorted past including coke\crack married men etc. I like the good things she does but her high high brow bull crap have to go.

I have to agree somewhat with Wendy. Whitney talked a lot about Bobby Brown and how horrific he was. But based on what I saw on their reality show, Whitney was pretty awful herself. There was a coarseness about her that was pretty awful. She seemed to shift all the blame on Bobby while taking very little responsibilty for herself. I don't think it was a very good interview at all. I think Oprah was too in awe of Whitney and didn't ask the tough questions.

YES!,I agree the interview was a joke. Oprah could have done a better job than that. I think she was in such awe about the eyes on the walls then anything elese.wittney went as far as throwing the shade off of her and started to out Michale Jackson. WoW! what a mess. I must say that I do agree with Wendy Williams.Whittney did not take ownership of her STUFF! She did blame Bobby for it. And just a question that I have. When you smoke coke whether with maryjane or a pipe or what ever vessel you have is it still not free basing or crack or am I whack?

Whitney said on Ophrah that, Bobby and her were partners and did all the drugs together. I'm pretty sure she blames herself. And I'm sure Whitney doesn't need Ms. Williams approval either.

What interview was Wendy Williams watching? I saw Whitney own her addiction and blame both herself and Bobby. It is what it is. How many ways do you say you smoked crack inside a joint? She owned it, let it go. Wendy is shooting for ratings as always.

Hmmm...No, I respectfully disagree. I think those tears were real and that she was being baldly (insert weave joke here) sincere...and proving once more that what we usually dispise in others are the things we most dispise and/or recognize in ourselves...I know of what I speak...
