Just when it seemed like 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Kim Zolciak's pop star ambitions would have to be put on hold, things have now been smoothed out for the single mom.
On the latest season of the hit Bravo series 'Real Housewives of Atlanta,' new cast member Kandi Burruss of Xscape fame helped re-work Zolciak's song 'Tardy for the Party.' During the first season, the blond vixen played cast-mate Nene Leakes a snippet of a country song called 'Tardy for the Party,' which the outspoken funny-woman encouraged her to record. She even shared studio time with superproducer Dallas Austin, which didn't yield any results. This season, she seemed to have better fate with Burruss, the Grammy Award-winning songwriter of songs recorded by Destiny's Child, TLC and Whitney Houston.
Burruss wrote the track for free, but, according to RadarOnline.com, the song's producer, Don Vito filed a lawsuit against Zolciak for non-payment for the music to the song.
At the time of its removal last week, the track was a Top 10 single on iTunes.
The second season of the Bravo network reality series 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' is a hit. BlackVoices.com invites you to take an inside look at the major players of the series that has become the latest guilty pleasure for millions of TV viewers.

Now, everything seems right back on track. Late last week, Burruss appeared on 'The Wendy Williams Show' explaining that everything has been settled and everything has been 'worked out.' The song is now available digitally again.
"There almost was a lawsuit," Burruss revealed. '"Kim wrote the original version with an older guy and she had an agreement to pay Don Vito for the music and didn't pay him when she said she was going to pay him because she has so much going on, she had every intention to pay him. I think that the communication wasn't right, but they worked it out."
Bravo has since released a compilation of footage from 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' set to the dance track. (See below)There's still no word on whether or not Zolciak is recording a full album or if the single was just for show, but next week's episode is said to capture her back in the studio.

I'm happy for Kim and Kandi. Watch out for Nene!! I know she is too mad about anyone's success besides her own.

You nailed Nene for me Brenda! Thanks! I have been trying to figure out so hard why Nene bugged me so much and couldn't put my finger on it! She seems to really enjoy other's failures! She is such a know it all and a loud mouth! I'm sure her book will bomb!
Good Luck Kim with the song!

Kandi is an Angel. Everything is not always about money, sometimes about helping others.

Kandi is a Godsend to that show. She seems very level-headed. I saw her on tv on a show dealing with money matters. She's a business woman and I think she has a great work ethic. But she's no punk! lol

Kim is going to need more than luck!! She has no talent as a singer. I think Kim used Kandi. No, everything is not about money...but kindness doesn't pay the bills either. Kim used Kandi's studio and talent. Kim uses that A.T.M between her legs for everything else...why not pay Kandi. Judging from Kandi's recent decisions, she is accustomed to being "used" How long will it take for her to see that she is being used by Kim. All beauty, no brains. I feel sorry for Kandi.

I guess all it takes now days to be a singer is a blong wig, implants, and auto tune. Let's face it, that is all there is to Kim. She can't sing. I think the song would have been more marketable with NeNe singing on it. The way Kim handled it was shady. She proves time and time again that she is not to be trusted. At least NeNe will let you know off the top.

You must not be watching the same show I am watching. All the ladies on the show are shady except Kandi. NeNe is shady too! She talks behind their back...why should she be on the song. She dogged Kim when she first was trying to sing and has dogged her every since. I liked Nene in the first season but success has truly went to her head. She has gone beyond being real to being arrogant and too Diva. She talks about Kandi who had success long before any of them on that show and she is independent! Nene is doing the book so let her have her book and let Kim be a one-hit wonder like she wanted!

Absolutely! Nene can be a mess (lol), but she will tell you what's happening, that's what I like about her. Kim on the other hand is EXTREMELY phony! I think that's really why Nene is so frustrated with Kandi, because she doesn't really know the 'real' Kim. Kandi is sweet, intelligent and in my opinion has the 'class' that Kim thinks she has, but Kim has deceived her.

Why would Kandi (or anybody) encourage Kim to continue to sing/record when it is obvious that this girl can't sing at all? A real "friend" would not do that.
Could you see Kim trying to do a live show? I wouldn't pay to see her. If by some chance Kandi is reading this, a real friend or "homegirl" as you've said on the show would be honest and let her know that she needs to reconsider or take it seriously. Even Dallas knew that she wasn't committed to "becoming a singer" enough to do the work it requires. Now that I think about it. The only thing that she is committed to is her looks and Big Poppa' (and you see how committed he is to her). Kim, aren't you tired of being the joke?
