Two weeks following his death, preliminary autopsy results conclude that 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Ashley "A.J." Jewell died from a pre-existing bout with sickle-cell anemia. Fulton County Associate Medical Examiners suggest the blood disorder disease may have restricted Jewell's oxygen supply and infuriated his fatal injuries. "The altercation played a role in that, and his underlying disease process contributed to his overall demise," medical examiner Dr. Kelly Rose told E! News. "In certain states of stress, the red cells actually become deformed. They deliver oxygen to all parts of your body, but when they have this sickle shape, there's a backup or plug-in that happens. It's especially bad in your lungs." The fiancé of former Xscape member, Kandi Burruss, died from a severe blow during an Oct. 2 altercation at Atlanta strip club Body Tap. The Atlanta hot spot was co-owned by Jewell. For more information on the investigation of Ashley Jewell's death head over to E! News.

I pray that this brought SOME answers to the family? I will continue praying for them all especially his children. As well as, loving and supporting Kandi in all that she does...."If you died Tonight, do you know where you will spend Eternity?" HAVE YOU ADMITTED UR A SINNER, ACCEPTED JESUS AS UR SAVIOR, RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT AND LIVE RIGHTEOUSLY EVERYDAY??" PRAYING, READING GOD'S WORD & LIVING IT ACCORDINGLY? This is the only way too know that you will be spending ETERNITY in HEAVEN w/GOD! THINK ABOUT IT? THEN, PRAY ABOUT IT? NEXT, DO WHAT YOU MUST TO "MAKE IT HAPPEN!" GOD BLESS.........

I hope, now that this is out, his kids will be tested for sickle cell anemia if they haven't already.

My heart breaks for you Kandi and all AJ's friends and family. You will be in my prayers. Hold your head high and do just what you think AJ would want you to do to help you get through this horrible time in your life. (((((Kandi)))))

I have lived with Sickle Cell Anemia for nearly 41 yrs. NO one can image what a Sickle Cell Crisis feels like. The pain is unbearable and often times makes some people, including, myself contemplate suicide. I have only recently watched old episodes of "Real House Wives of Atlanta" via my child's mother taping every episode. I would like to commend Mr. Jewell for seemingly living his life to the fullest, and not letting the mental/physical wear and tear of this ferious disease gettig him down.
However, if his life was ended by being beaten up as reported. Having a pre-conditioned illness should have no bearing in court whatsoever. If the alleged murders had kept there hands off of him, he may have lived to see another day, which I can assure you a person with this illness never takes for granted.
Finally, my love and condolenses goes out to his family and loved ones. I am very sorry for your loss.
