Rozanda 'Chilli' Thomas: Beginning her Quest for Reality Love, but Not in VH1's Typical Fashion

Earlier this year, it was announced that Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas, of platinum-selling pop/R&B group TLC, was getting her own VH1 reality series.

Now, cameras have begun following the 38-year-old around her native Atlanta.

Chilli previously starred on the UPN reality series 'R U the Girl' with her TLC group member Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins.

As can be expected, a rep for VH1 was mum on details about the new show's theme, but according to a network press release, it will follow the Grammy Award-winning singer as she decides to "take the reigns of her romantic situation and launch an all-out search for the love of her life with the help of Brooklyn-based relationship expert Tionna Smalls."

The show's working title is 'The Chilli Project.'

Chilli, who is also executive producing the series, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that her show would not be like VH1 staples 'Flavor of Love,' 'Real Chance of Love' or 'I Love New York,' where suitors compete to be her main squeeze. She's not looking to have an elimination ceremony for her contenders. Instead, the show will highlight her life as a mom and her solo music career after the limelight.

"'The Chilli Project' is a lifestyle show that touches on dating, but in my way...I would never do it the other way," she said.

Her love coach, Smalls, added, "She is a classy lady. We are gonna find her a classy man. If not, come shoot me. It's not all about the cameras. We're lookin' for a man."

And Chilli trusts Smalls to get it right.

The 'No Scrubs' singer, who previously had a long-term relationship with Usher, added, "she has my laundry list 'cause I do have one, and I don't know anybody. It is all in her hands. I am trusting her."

No details were released at press time about when in 2010 the eight-episode series will premiere.
