Don't believe the (mainstream) hype of Wendy Williams having a hard time getting talent bookings for the first season of her talk show. It doesn't appear to be true.
Although the New York Daily News reported that a slew of A-list African-Americans ... have all refused to visit the former radio shock jock and New York Times' best-selling author's couch, what the show's producers have in store for November sweeps contradict that.
According to a rep, a battery of celebrity notables have been confirmed to appear including: television personality Mario Lopez (10/29), tabloid mainstay Paris Hilton (11/4), comedienne Wanda Sykes (11/6), comedienne Fran Drescher, Food Network stars Gina & Patrick Neely (11/18), fashion icon Iman (11/12), R & B sensation Ray J (11/12), Hollywood legend Diahann Carroll (11/13), former 'Charlie's Angel' Jaclyn Smith (11/19), and teen singing sensation Justin Beiber (11/27), to name a few. Also throughout the month, Williams will host vibrant theme shows including: the "Leopard Show" (11/3), which will have her studio coming to the show decked out in leopard garb; the "Cocktail Party Day" (11/5), featuring an audience gussied up in their best cocktail attire; and "Fabulous Shoe Day" (11/12) on which she asks her audience to strut their stuff in their favorite footwear and asks supermodel Iman to weigh in on her favorite heels.

Except for Paris Hilton, the people who are listed aren't A-listers. I strongly do believe that Wendy will continue to have problems with future guests because of her behavior w/past guests on her radio show. When I see Wendy trying to be nice, she comes across as being phony. Maybe it's just me, but it seems that she doesn't have a kind bone in her body. She has been too forward, abrupt and rude to celebs in the past.
Also,it is not cool to see some of the same guests on Moniques and Wendy's show.

Judging by the list of people scheduled to appear, she is having a hell of a time getting good guests. Are you kidding me? Who is checking for Mario Lopez, Wanda Sykes, Fran Drescher, Dianne Carrol, Paris Hilton, etc...?????? Get some A List celebs and lets talk.

I really don't want Wendy to have the same big name stars on her show who are already well known and who are most likely overrated anyway. It's like listening to the same thing playing on the radio all of the time, which is why I don't listen to the radio now.

It's not that Wendy can't get guest, the problem is getting guest that matter. Lets get real an A caliber guest like Whitney Houston or P Diddy would do wonders for her ratings (which are allegedly in the crapper). Now don't get me wrong, the names listed above are quite capable of attracting viewers BUT, they WILL NOT attract the amount of viewers she needs to survive (especially in New York where her show goes head to head with Rachael Ray and the Today Show at 10am).

Did I miss something, Not one of the persons listed is an "A" list celebrity. The reason she is having difficulty booking "A" listers is do you really expect her to book someone she talked negatively about? Would you got to someone's house for dinner who called you out? I don't think so.

I always wanted to call in to the Wendy Williams' show and tell her her words will come back and bite her in her big, awkward ass. The same people she dissed on her radio show now will not even give her the time of day. Let's face it Wendy the Moose has pissed in her own corn flakes. She can only get old has beens (Diahnn Carroll(or people who are just looking for exposure (Wandy Sykes). Her show will not last!!! She is wa wanna be looking Tyra Banks, except Tyra has class.

Who is kidding who here? Why does Wendy Williams still have a show and what folks with any small amount of sense are watching her? She's so classless and tasteless, if her show was cancelled today, who would miss her? And, WHAT A-LISTERS? Nothing against her upcoming guests, but really - who of these folks is an A-List person? Paris Hilton? She's got money, but A-List? I DON'T THINK SO? Wendy would have to be an A-List person to attract A-List people, which she is SO NOT. SoAnd, WHO HASN'T SHE PISSED OFF? This woman needs to go get a REAL JOB because talk-show host she most certainly IS NOT.
