While Chris Brown paid a visit to The Big Apple this week and make his "comeback" performance at the Powerhouse concert, he took time to do some good will.The beleaguered crooner spent the afternoon of Oct. 28 decorating pumpkins with Best Buddies participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities at a local community center.
And according to his record label publicist, the good deed was not a part of his half- year-long community service sentence (from assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna), either.
Next month, Brown will do a small, 19-city "Fan Appreciation" tour, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Best Buddies International. Founded by Anthony Kennedy Shriver in 1989, Best Buddies is the world's largest non-profit organization devoted solely to providing friendships, jobs and leadership opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
While on tour, Brown plans to visit with Best Buddies participants, as well as encourage his fans to consider volunteering their time to work with those in their own communities who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
