Ms. Triniti: Caribbean Rising Star Rocks JetBlue's Mystery Trip

JetBlue recently teamed with Thrillist.com for a three-day mystery trip for 150 tastemakers and a handful of contest winners. When the chosen ones arrived at New York City's JFK Airport, they were greeted by the sound of a steel drum band and signs letting them know their mystery destination was none-other-than Montego Bay, Jamaica.

As if high-energy activities like flag football, zip-lining, dune buggy rides, beachside horseback rides, and plush accommodations at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall Hotel weren't exciting enough, attendees were treated to surprise performances from two of the Caribbean's brightest new stars.

Reggae artist Serani took the stage in the rain at the White Party at Sandals. The 'We Be Burnin' producer performed some of his own songs, while JetMystery goers slipped and slid on the dance floor to his tunes. Unfortunately, a light scaffold fell on the dance floor injuring six patrons --sending JetMystery attendees back to the all-inclusive resort to check out up-and-comer Ms.Triniti.

Though she had to perform in the resort's nightclub, as a consummate professional she turned out lots of songs to keep the crowd on its feet.

"We really wanted to lift the spirits because even though we knew everyone ended up being ok considering how worst it could have been everybody was shook up," Ms.Triniti told the BV Newswire.

"Luckily the crowd was so cool everybody came back afterward and got in the spirit of things once they got back."

Of the trip, the British-born beauty says, "I love the concept. I think it's great. I was thinking that the whole time. The surprised factor makes it so much more thrilling."

And, though she missed the Mystery flight over to Jamaica, Triniti couldn't resist talking about her return flight on the popular JetBlue: "That's one of my favorite airlines. I'm not just saying that. I love the fact that they don't skimp, like other airlines, on things that you expect like checking your bag for free or snacks and stuff like that. It makes a difference."

Not only has Ms.Triniti hosted several popular television shows for Jamaica's Top Music Channel, she has also opened on international tours for big names like Sean Paul, Ja Rule, Ludacris and Lil' Wayne, to name a few. Her music was most recently featured on the hit E! television shows, 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' and 'Kourtney and Khloe take Miami.'

The Caribbean singer, who had a Number One hit with 'Burnin Burnin' featuring Beenie Man, continues to do well overseas.

One song that got the JetMystery people excited was her new single 'Lockdown' featuring Vybz Cartel. She said a music video for the track is currently being produced and hoping it flies up the music charts.

"Now that I've had two songs in the top-five and this one with Vybz Cartel, I'm hoping that it goes number one and it's really popular already and the video hasn't even come out yet." (Check out Ms. Triniti's video for 'Bongce Along' and 'Burnin Burnin.')

The 31 year-old, who goes by her middle name, was raised in Trinidad and London. She goes by Ms. Triniti after her previous label Columbia Records found out there was a 1970s Jamaican artist also named Triniti. In the very near future, she'll head to Italy to collaborate with a few Italian artists on an album. Her music is also getting released in Japan, Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines in the near future.
