Move over Vanessa Williams!

You're not the only history-making pageant winner to relinquish your crown due to a scandal.

Rachel Christie, who was the first black woman to be crowned Miss England in July, has relinquished her crown after being arrested on suspicion of a nightclub assault.

According to published reports, Christie became involved in a dispute with another beauty queen, Miss Manchester Sara Beverley Jones, when she was allegedly punched in the face after arguing about Tornado -- a gladiator who appears in a popular British television show.
Tornado, whose real name is David McIntosh, is believed to be Jones' ex-boyfriend and Christie's current lover.

A statement from Miss England organizers said Christie, 21, wanted to concentrate on clearing her name.

But all is not lost for the bronze beauty; she's a medal-winning athlete who can transcend into other areas like Williams, who went on to become a major superstar after giving up her Miss America crown in 1983, when nude photos of her were leaked and published.
