Oprah Winfrey: Bringing Something Sexy to HBO

Despite making a surprising announcement late last week about ending her long running talk show in 2011, Oprah Winfrey also has intentions on tapping into a more raunchier audience for an upcoming HBO project.

According to Variety, the media queen's Harpo Films is set to team up with HBO for an hour long sexually charged series about a woman who leaves her marriage in Santa Monica for the underworld of Los Angeles, where she indulges into her secret fantasies and desires.

The as-yet-untitled pilot, which is executive produced by Winfrey, Harpo Films president Kate Forte, and writer Erin Cressida Wilson, is reportedly a high priority for the network.

"It is unsentimental and pretty shocking, and there is something complicated and destructive driving her," Forte said. "It is literally a day at the pool, where she gets up, in sarong and flip-flops, and walks out of her life, leaving everyone behind so abruptly that her husband and kids initially think she's been kidnapped or murdered."

While the project is currently being written, there is no set date for its debut.
