Opening Night: 'Race' On Broadway

David Mamet's latest Broadway play, 'Race,' opened last night at New York City's Ethel Barrymore Theatre and a bevy of celebrity notables, including Rev. Al Sharpton, Eva Longorio Parker, Jerry Seinfeld, Alec Baldwin, Val Kilmer, Gayle King, Emmy Rossum, LaChanze, Edie Falco, Tamara Tunie, Billy Crudup, Sam Rockwell, Woody Allen, Roseanne Barr, Judith Light and Isabella Rosellini, braved the December chill for a hot ticket

Directed by the acclaimed playwright, the play stars James Spader, David Alan Grier, Kerry Washington and Richard Thomas in a show that grabs its touchy subject matter -- racial prejudice and sex – by the sequins.

After the 90-minute performance, the cast headed to the Redeye Grill to hob-knob with the celebs who were on hand to cheer them on.
