Nick Cannon: Making His Own Way with Multi-Faceted New Company

Following his recent stint as host of NBC's 'America's Got Talent,' Nick Cannon is preparing to expand his portfolio with his very own media company, NCredible Entertainment.

The multi-talented 'Drumline' actor/producer announced today that his latest establishment will govern all of his forthcoming projects in film, TV, music, digital media, publishing and radio.

In addition to developing television projects for TeenNick, MTV, and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, Cannon is also venturing off into radio with his very own daily morning show on CBS Radio's WXRK-FM New York beginning Jan. 19. The is expected to broadcast through a variety of mobile devices including the iPhone, iPod Touch, Blackberry and Zune.
The San Diego native has also partnered with Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing Division to produce a collection of books inspired by his Feb. 2010 Nickelodeon-directed flick 'School Gyrls. '

Judging from his workload, one would think Cannon is aspiring to be like his longtime idol, Will Smith. However, the 29-year-old entrepreneur is determined to define his own mark amongst entertainment's elite.

"I don't want to be the next Will Smith or the next Denzel Washington," he told The Hollywood Reporter "I want to be the first Nick Cannon, the first person to do something. Hopefully, I will still do movies, but I want to be able to be my own man, run my own company."

Not only is Mariah Carey's husband in full control of his own entity, he also serves as chairman of Nickelodeon's 24-hour channel, TeenNick. "I'm the youngest chairman in TV history," he joked. "No one expected me to do much, but I'm in the office every day."

On Dec. 25, Cannon will co-host the Disney Parks Christmas Parade and will return as host of 'America's Got Talent' next summer.
