MTV's 'America's Best Dance Crew' judge Shane Sparks has been arrested and charged with nine counts of child molestation.
The 35-year-old choreographer -- who also works on the hit TV show 'So You Think You Can Dance' -- was taken into custody Dec.18 on a felony warrant.
According to TMZ, the alleged lewd acts were with a girl at least ten years younger than Sparks. The incidents were said to have began occurring in 1994.
The acts include oral copulation and other acts "with the intent of arousing, appealing to and gratifying the lust, passions and sexual desires of the defendant."
Sparks is being held on $590,000 bail.
'America's Best Dance Crew' wrapped up its fourth season earlier this year and Sparks just choreographed the new stage production of 'Dreamgirls,' which recently embarked on a national tour.

If your story here is correct you say that shane sparks,arrested for CHILD MOLESTATION. He is 35 years old, your story said he was doing these lewd acts with a girl at least 10 years younger than him... Hello that makes her 25. since when is it child molestation if the person is over 18? Acusations in that area that arent correct can ruin someones reputaion and life just because it was said. be careful what you write about people, if it later comes to light that he indeed molested a child i apologize,and say string him by his balls

The question is how does anyone provide a reasonable defense against an allegation that is supposed to have happened 15 years ago? NO ONE has careful records of where they were, and witnesses on a day to day basis going back 15 years. Anyone accused of sexual misconduct in America is automatically guilty in the eyes of about 95% of the population - so good luck getting a fair trial.

Didn't you read the part where it said it started in 1994? That would be 15 years ago making Mr. Sparks 20, and the defendant being 10 years younger would be 10 years of age.

Hey Tracie, I thought the same thing. Re-read the story...this happened in 1994, when he was approx. 20 years old. This does change things.
