During the first go 'round of VH1's 'I Want to Work for Diddy,' entertainment mogul and clothing designer Sean Combs had little luck selecting two new employees, so he decided to give it another try.
On the second season of the hit reality competition series, talent buyer Ivory Tabb worked her way from repeatedly landing in the bottom to being a strong final contender.
"If we were walking up and pushing resumes in front of him, I would have won out the gate," Tabb told BV Newswire.
On last night's episode, though, the 32-year-old was sent home after failing at a task that required her to organize a Sean John preview fashion show.
Tabb says she's not bitter at not winning and thinks Diddy might find a better fit in Ebony and Daniel.
"Sometimes the best candidate for the job is overly qualified," she stated. "I didn't go on the show to actually be his assistant. I have been there and done that [and] already paid my dues."
"I just went on there to see if I could do it and how far I could really go," she added.
She concedes that Daniel and Ebony do have a few talents.
"Ebony and Daniel, they both are like younger than me – way younger," she pointed out. "You could mold them, and they can do what you want them to do."
"The two contestants that he has left will do exactly what he wants them to do and how he wants them to do it. For me, that probably wouldn't have worked out well because I know how to get things done and I use methods that from my experiences are proven."
Make no doubt about it, the Louisiana State University alum will have a successful future. Prior to signing on for the show, she worked in entertainment as a talent buyer, placing athletes and entertainers in commercials and events. That experience, she said, kept her from being intimidated by the Bad Boy Records founder.
"I was never intimidated when I saw Mr. Combs. Other contestants got intimidated. [For me,] It was like, 'Oh that's like LeBron [James] or Kobe [Bryant], and I feel like because of that, he never played the same types of games with me like he played with everyone else," she confided.
Tabb, who currently resides in Dallas, has continued working as a talent buyer. Right now, she's been booking events with athletes for the Superbowl weekend, and aspires to host panels as a self-proclaimed "lifestyle opinionator." She's also hoping to have her own satellite radio show on relationships.
The finale of 'I Want to Work for Diddy' airs Jan. 4 at 10 p.m. ET on VH1.

Honestly I was surprised she was let go. But that's good that she is working. Ivory is a strong sistah, and I know success will follow her. But, she was a little crazy with the exercise ball, letting the air out, quite selfish. I believe whomever gets picked, won't last long anyway, so I'm glad she was let go. Much blessings and success to her.

In my opinion, " a strong sister" doesn't have to be so confrontational, which Ivory was. It just seemed so childish with the exercise ball, unless she figured out that kind of behavior would get her more screen time.......and it did. Nevertheless, I do wish her the best.

I agree, she was not being a "strong" sistah, she was trying to be intimidating, and it worked - for a while. The epitome of a strong sister is one who is in control of herself - and her octave level - at all times. Diddy let her go because he didn't think she had the level of self control he needed - she was always all over the top. Personally, I don't think the last two have much of a chance either - Dan is clueless when it come to the "culture" and Ebony is just not professional enough. See ya next season...

diddy needs to help the community where he lives ( here in miami, fla, although he lives on Star Island, the struggles of the young impressionable black adults in the liberty city-brownsville-overtown areas could be greatly influence by his expertise in the areas of small businesses, entertainment trainning, and lifestyle living, he's a sucessful businessman, and he SHOULD "GIVE bACK"

What do you mean he SHOULD give back? Where is it written that when you make it you have to spend every waken minute of the day giving something to people? I'm sure Diddy does a lot of things to help people. He is only one person. You can't expect 1 person to help everybody. Why don't the people in that community that are blessed take a young adult under their wing and mentor them. People with money are not the only people that can help someone. I get so tired of hearing people talking about giving back. That was fine back in the day when everyone in the neighborhood took a part in raising kids. But now days, that's not the case, so unless your from one of those old neighborhoods where you had neighbors who looked out for you and helped your parents raise you, I really don't know what people think they are giving back to. Your just giving to people to feel humane and fulfill your desire to help people period. Parents who have these kids should be the ones to influence their children and help them strive to obtain a better life than they had and obviously then their parents are giving them.
