2010 is off to a great start for acclaimed actress Audra McDonald.
On Jan.7, the 'Private Practice' star was the star of the show when Alabama took home the big win against Texas at the BCS Championship Football Game.
The four-time Tony Award winner gave a rousing performance of 'America, The Beautiful' at the Rose Ball.
And as if that wasn't enough, the noted thespian is being lauded for her role on the hit ABC drama series. She was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for this year's NAACP Image Award on Jan. 6.
McDonald, who was rumored to be returning to Broadway in the Denzel Washington-fronted revival of August Wilson's legendary play 'Fences,' has been confirmed to perform in concert on Feb.1 at the UCLA Freud Playhouse for a concert presented by the Los Angeles Reprise Theatre Company.

AUDRA'S VERSION OF AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL WAS ANYTHING BUT ROUSING. IT ROUSED PEOPLE WHERE I WAS WATCHING OUT OF THEIR SEATS AND TO THE RESTROOMS. IT WAS HORRIBLE. DOGS WERE HOWLING AND CATS WERE MEOWING.
BUT SERIOUSLY I HAD NEVER HEARD HER SING BEFORE AND I WAS SHOCKED. MAYBE THE SONG WAS WRONG FOR HER OR THE VENUE WAS NOT FOR HER, BUT SHE WAS NOT VERY GOOD AT THE ROSEBOWL.
