"The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards," one of few awards ceremonies that span both television and motion picture achievements, takes place tonight at The Bevely Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
Produced by Dick Clark Productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the live telecast is expected to be seen in more than 160 countries worldwide.

8:00 - British funnyman Ricky Gervais, the night's host kicked off as the first host of the Golden Globes in 15 years. He joked, "Let me get on with it before NBC replaces me with Jay Leno."
8:06 - Nicole Kidman brought awareness to the tragedy in Haiti and announced that George Clooney is working on a telethon. She announced Mo'Nique as the winner for Best Supporting Actress for Motion Picture for 'Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire.' She accepted her award by thanking God and her husband, Sidney Hicks. 
"Everybody kept asking me do I know my speech, and I said, 'No, I don't know what I'm going to say because I don't want people to think I just know I done won something,' so no, I don't know! When I tell you all I am in the midst of my dream and when I look into the eyes of the man I stood next to at 14 years old and I said to him, 'One day we're going to be stars, and he said, 'You first.' "And we walked this red carpet together tonight. Sidney, I will love you more than you will ever know, baby. I celebrate this award with all the Preciouses, with all the Marys -- I celebrate this award with every person that's ever been touched. It's now time to tell. And it's okay."
8:10 - Mavis Spencer, daughter of actress Alfre Woodard and producer Roderick Spencer was presented as Miss Golden Globe.
8:34 -Cancer survivor Michael C. Hall of 'Dexter' took home Best Actor in a Television Series - Drama.
8:46 - Cher and Christina Aguilera presented the Best Original Song from a Motion Picture to 'Theme to Crazy Heart.'
8:56 - The HBO movie 'Grey Gardens' won for Best Motion Picture Made for TV.
9:12 - Helen Mirren, who starred opposite Cuba Gooding, Jr. in Lee Daniels' 'Shadowboxer' introduced 'Precious' which is vying for Best Motion Picture - Drama.
9:16 - Drew Barrymore won for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Made for Television for her star-turn in the HBO movie 'Grey Gardens. She thanked Mo'Nique for her Best Best Supporting Actress acceptance speech, saying, "Mo'Nique you set the bar this evening with the speech. You said everything that so many feel and Mo'Nique you're the most eloquent and beautiful human being."
9:50 - Halle Berry, in a slinky black gown, presented the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture to Christoph Waltz from 'Inglorious Bastards.'
10:16 - James Cameron won for Best Director for his mega-hit action blockbuster 'Avatar.' His neighbor/actor Mel Gibson presented him with the award.
10:25 - Mike Tyson took the stage to present a montage of clips from Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical for 'The Hangover,' a film in which he made a cameo. A few minutes later 'The Hangover' won for Best Motion Picture Comedy or Musical and he was back onstage with the film's stars and producers to accept it.
10:39 - Sandra Bullock upset newcomer and 'Precious' actress Gaborey Sibide and took home Best Actress for a Motion Picture Drama for 'The Blind Side,' "I might not be the most talented but I've been given opportunity," the major box-office draw said during her speech.
10:58 - 'Avatar' took home the night's biggest honor for Best Motion Picture.

PLEASE GET KHLOE KARDASHIAN OFF THIS GOLDEN GLOBE COMMENTARY!!! SHE IS MISERABLE AND ANNOYING....SHE IS THE WORST EVER....ALSO A SHOT OF THE FULL DRESSES WOULD BE NICE SEEING THAT IT IS A SHOW ON THE DRESSES THAT THEY ARE WEARING....LOVE JOAN AS ALWAYS
